Job Description:
- Wonderla Amusement Park is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to expand our business in the away market, tour operators, travel agent market, establish strategic tie-ups, and tap into the inbound tourist segment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, sales, and marketing within the tourism and entertainment industry. This role requires a creative thinker with strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
Market Analysis and Strategy Development :
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and trends in the away market, tour operators, travel agent market, and inbound tourist segment.
- Develop comprehensive business development strategies to expand our presence in these markets.
Partnership Development :
- Identify and approach potential tour operators, travel agents, and other partners for collaboration.
- Negotiate and establish partnerships to promote Wonderla Amusement Park as a preferred destination for tourists.
Sales and Revenue Generation :
- Drive sales initiatives to meet revenue targets set for the away market and inbound tourists.
- Create attractive packages and offers for tour operators and travel agents to promote Wonderla Amusement Park.
Relationship Management :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, ensuring their needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service to partners, addressing inquiries and concerns effectively.
Marketing and Promotions :
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop marketing campaigns targeting the away market and inbound tourists.
- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make necessary adjustments to optimize results.
Innovation and Product Development :
- Stay updated with industry trends and customer preferences to propose new attractions or services that cater to the needs of the target audience.
- Collaborate with the operations team to enhance visitor experiences and create unique offerings.
Reporting and Analysis :
- Prepare regular reports on market trends, sales performance, and partnership activities.
- Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of business development strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the tourism and entertainment industry.
- Strong understanding of the away market, tour operators, travel agent market, and inbound tourist segment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
