We are Way Cool - a leading food development and distribution company working hard to positively impact the lives of thousands of farmers in India and reduce food wastage. We partner with our extensive farmers- network (over 35000 and counting!) to hygienically and efficiently transport fresh produce from farm to fork, minimizing wastage, maximizing farmer benefit, and creating value in the process.

We cater to our partners across wholesale customer segments such as modern trade, hospitality chains, industrial canteens, and general provisions outlets, and fulfill the needs of our individual customers through SunnyBee, our company owned retail stores. Today we are an energised workforce of nearly 1000 employees partnering together to effectively drive and rapidly expand our B2B, B2C and D2C operations across Chennai, Bengaluru, Coimbatore & Hyderabad.

Presently we are looking for a "Head - Corporate Communication" to join us. Details on the role below

OVERVIEW

As Head of Corporate Communications you will provide advice and leadership on all aspects of internal and external communications, and external relations, and also manage corporate social responsibility and outreach programmes, website, media relations and publications.

You will also be responsible for the strategic planning and programming related to communications, external relations, and stakeholder engagement. The role requires a strong focus on strategies to increase visibility and influence, and to support the achievement of operational goals. Effective relationship-building, strategic communications and partnerships with diverse internal and external stakeholders are key deliverables in the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Design and implement strategic communication initiatives that include print, digital and social media channels and niche communications to increase the visibility and understanding of the organisation's vision and purpose.

2. Actively engage, cultivate and manage press relationships to secure coverage surrounding the launch of programmes, special events, projects and innovations across national and select global media agencies.

3. Proactively identify opportunities for engagement and influence by being current with developments that relate to all key stakeholders and partners.

4. Anticipate reputational risk issues and develop and implement appropriate communication actions.

5. Lead on the development, implementation and monitoring of the brand guidelines.

6. Work with senior management to determine the areas where the organisation can impact the regional and international dialogue on agriculture and sustainability issues through the development and publication of materials, and participation in selected public speaking events.

7. Manage the external surveys that evaluate the attitudes, opinions and aspirations of the stakeholders and partners.

8. Review the governance standards and operational protocols for the sign-off on all corporate communications emanating from the organisation, to ensure that quality assurance is maintained, and brand guidelines are adhered to.

9. Develop a calendar for external speaking engagements for key personnel, and assist in the preparation of speeches for senior management members..

10. Champion communications throughout the organisation to ensure that communication considerations form an integral part of policy-making, project designs, visits and tours by the senior management.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

- Master's degree in Communications

- A minimum of 10 years of experience working in fast growth settings

- Strong interpersonal and industry networking skills

- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment

- Ability to collaborate and deliver across multiple assignments

- Ability to make effective recommendation to enable quick decisions and direct teams
