Profile : Area Sales Manager

- Sales & distribution head for a designated area

Job Responsibilities :

- Sell companies products by establishing contacts, leveraging on existing contact and developing relationships with prospects

- Creating a distributor network by identifying super stockiest, distributors and other business opportunities, negotiating and closing the deal either individually or with the assistance of seniors.

- Ensuring proper documentation and statutory compliance

- Setting sales targets both primary and secondary along with the number of retail stores to be opened/serviced every month and achieving the same for each distributor for yourself and for the sales executive/sales officer

- Managing sales to the super stockiest, distributors and further to retail stores, thereby achieving sales targets by retailing yourself and through the sales resources.

- Managing distributor's invoicing, sales, dispatch and collections through the companies and the distributors team sales.

- Directly responsible for opening and servicing A+ category retail outlets.

- Ensuring collections from Super Stockist, from and for the distributor as per the agreed terms

- Monitoring, training, grooming and motivating the sales team to deliver targeted results by providing support, information and guidance.

- Monitoring distributors inventory both in terms of SKU's and age of inventory.

- Merchandising & display of companies- products for the entire area

- Collecting, analyzing, summarizing sales and inventory reports as per time lines provided by the company, along with reporting competition activity to RSM, HO

- Implementing sales promotions & marketing initiatives - effectively and efficiently

- Identifying sales resources and preliminary screening

- Managing financial budgets and ensuring they are within limits

- Minimum Primary & Secondary targets per distributor per month Rs.4 lakhs.

- Minimum retailer calls done by self daily- 15 with 8 conversions every day. The company has all the rights not to honor TA-DA if these number of minimum calls and conversions are not achieved.

Key Result Areas weightage : 

1. Sales & Distribution : 70% (Achieving both primary and secondary sales targets, Increase market penetration and acquiring shelf space. Generating and forwarding reports as per agreed timelines)

2. Distributor & Inventory management : 10% (Ensuring collections and managing distributor outstanding and reporting. Strictly following FIFO and keeping track of age of outstanding)

3. Reporting : Ensuring daily sales report, weekly inventory & sales report and monthly sales vs achievement report with aging of both Super Stockist and Distributors : 15%

4. Sales team management : ensure the sales team is motivated and delivers their KRA's : 5%
