Description :
- A decent retail internship program should give you the chance to get involved with the buying and merchandising process.
- Although you probably won't be trusted with overall responsibility for procuring goods and deciding where they'll be placed on the shop floor, you should be given an opportunity to assist with the ordering and processing of stock.
- This will help you get a feel for how to negotiate discounts, how slotting fees work, sales taxes and the invoicing process.
