POSITION SUMMARY :

Student Recruitment and Admissions is located within the Division of Academic and Student Engagement and is responsible for ensuring the University is able to recruit and admit high quality students to it programs from a wide range of markets domestically and internationally The International Officer - South Asia assists with recruitment in the region by ensuring that applicants meet admission and compliance requirements of the University. The University has contracted Kaplan International to provide a legal and administrative framework for the employment of the International Officer - South Asia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

International admissions, compliance and recruitment :

- Undertake operational tasks within the University's admission and compliance policy framework.

- Assist recruitment staff in the region with recruitment events and activities.

- Communicate with applicants, the Universit's overseas representatives, and other external agencies (e.g SATAC) relating to applications

- Other duties that assist international admissions, compliance and recruitment as required.

Service and advice :

Provide service and advice on admission and compliance related issues, including responding to enquiries, to applicants, University's overseas representatives and University staff.

Admissions policy, procedures and processes :

- Assist in the development, review and implementation of policy, procedures and processes for the admission of international students and the maintenance of student data, including compliance with the provisions of the ESOS Act.


Continuous improvement and quality assurance :

- Work cooperatively and collaboratively as a member of the SRAS, and contribute to team development initiatives for the purposes of continuous improvement and quality assurance.

Student recruitment :

- Undertake student recruitment activity as required.

- Ensure all digital and social communications are compliant with the University's brand standards (including tone of voice).

- Promote local in-country events on the University's owned social channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

- Ensure consistency between in-country activity and SRAS in relation to communication with prospects, including data capture, messaging, templates and service referrals.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA :

Knowledge and Experience :

1. Demonstrated high level organisational and administrative skills

2. Well-developed written and oral communication skills

3. Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage and complete diverse tasks

4. Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply relevant policies and procedures.

5. Demonstrated ability in the effective use of Microsoft suite of software packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Access).

Desirable :

1. Understanding and experience in international admissions, compliance and recruitment practices.

Qualification/s :

- A tertiary qualification

- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
