Job Description

Experience Range 3+

Relevant Experience Range 3+ years in advertising and creative agency as Copywriter/Sr. Copywriter or Sr. copy position

No freelance experience will be considered

Position Objective : To ideate and write suitable copy as per the stated objectives of marketing campaigns while keeping buyer persona, buyer journey stage and the media in consideration

1. To create awareness about the brands and courses

2. To generate enquiries & help conversions

Roles and Responsibilities The roles and responsibilities include

1. Creating and curating clear, persuasive and original copies through the various iterations of the project

2. Familiarise with the courses and services, Times Professional Learning offers, the academic and industry partners, learning proposition of the courses and its TG and their persona

3. Familiarise with the brand proposition and its language, design elements

4. Understand Organization, its mission, vision and values, its brands and structure

5. Ideation & Conceptualisation of communication as per requirements and stated objectives

6. Collaborate with fellow content team members on various projects and tasks

7. Collaborate/liaise with Design team members to get the communication completed

8. Proofread and vet the communication piece and share final & complete one with the stakeholders and be responsible for its suitability, adequacy, construct, aesthetics and grammatical accuracy and ensure that it's not plagiarised

9. Amend, revise or redevelop the copy or advertisement in response to the inputs and feedback till its approved by all the stakeholders, internal or external

10. Oversee various projects through the design or production stage to completion

11. Consideration of SEO while create web-content

12. Be up-to date with current copy and communication trend and culture

13. Able to give timelines for the task and ensure to meet the set timelines

The communication needs to be created for Digital & non-digital media and the communication includes.

1. Overall marketing campaign concept/theme and communication designs: for all Digital, Print, BTL, OOH, TV/Radio and all other media

2. Paid ad campaign designs including digital and social media banners, emailers - optimised for different platforms

3. Course brochures and leaflets, website content including landing pages, Testimonials

4. Scripts for Videos and Radio jingles - Promotional, social media and explainer videos

5. Organic social media posts: Static, Carousels, GIFs & videos - Optimised copy for different media platforms

6. Social media posts & videos for repurposing Blogs, Articles, guides, webinars

7. Print Ads, flyers, posters, Standees, BTL banners, gates, OOH designs, Wall designs, etc

8. Promotion communications for Event (Webinar, Seminar, Career Fair) including event theme & landing pages

9. Press Release

Copy includes Headlines, slogans, catchphrases, straplines and body copy..

Mandatory Skills / Knowledge 1. Strong Ideation Skills

2. Story-telling and writing know-how: The ability to write good, clear copy in a variety of styles, with accurate spelling and grammar

3. Logic, creativity and imagination

4. To be able to take brief from clients or marketing team members

5. Audience first mindset

6. Analytical abilities

7. Good Research Skills

8. Self-motivation, flexibility, stamina and the ability to adapt; Confidence, enthusiasm and determination

Knowledge / Desired Skills : 


1. PG/UG degree/certificate in Advertising or copywriting or fine arts

2. The ability to form strong working relationships quickly

3. Strong organisational skills

4. Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills

5. Keep a tab of all kinds of media including social media

6. Worked in Education or Ed-tech industry

7. Marketing function knowledge and understanding
