Job Description - Sales Specialist

Our ideal salesperson has a strong understanding of the sales process, and excels at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals.


- We are seeking a quick learner with strong listening and negotiating skills, and someone with presence who can showcase our offerings in a compelling way. Often tasked with giving presentations, attending networking events, and participating in trade shows, it's essential that our salesperson be approachable and professional. His or her efforts will help us extend our global reach and impact.


- The Incumbent must be a dynamic Sales / Marketing Professional who rose to the role of a Business development Function with a flair for meeting people and building Relationships and leverage the Network of people to drive Business Development.


- Must be Analytical and data driven in nature; must be able to think through a Problem and provide Customized Solutions for Customers and be good at Concept/Benefits Selling and generate Leads with his Team

- Persuade the Customers/Stakeholders to adapt to the latest Techniques of a Concept covering the Perpetuation of high grade/Quality Genes of Cattle and enable Customers to experiment with new reproductive Techniques.

- Close large deals through relationship building and create opportunities to build continuous Sales through Distributors and Retail Sellers after creating opportunities for the Genes Product which has a limited Competition in the Market

- Identify Potential Customers/Institutions/Distributors / Resellers and prepare Cost vs Sales Projections in the short term and Long term

- Must be conversant with preparation of the Collaterals for any Business Development /Sales of Items and Products through the Tendering Process of Government and Quasi Governments

Objectives of this Role

- Represent our company, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings

- Maximize the sales performance by establishing strong relationships and gaining insight to the needs and lifestyle of the client

- Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales and activity quotas

- Generate leads and commit to customer service by building relationships

- Adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field

- Perform incisive and insightful market and competitive research

Responsibilities

- Retain & grow existing business & add new Clients and build relationships at Institutional Levels covering Veterinary Products/ Large Diary/Poultry based Organizations/ Animal Breeders /Animal Husbandry Departments in Private/Public Sectors in any Sales Line or from the Rural Sales background or any FMCG Sales having covered Tier Two/ Small Towns in earlier Roles. Job requires a frequent travel to the Tier Two Towns from the City HQ

- Build key Customer Relationships, identify Business opportunities, Negotiate and close Business deals covering Domestic and International Markets.

- Build relationship with top spending clients and facilitate Co.'s participation in the various Exhibitions/ Town Melas and involve local opinion makers and Stakeholders in strategizing Media pitches called by the Company from time to time to build a pipeline of Customers who are Distributors/ resellers

- Plan and prepare inputs and work with team to develop proposals that meets the campaign objectives and secure Domestic and International Business

- Work with Marketing and Planning Team to ensure value add mileage from each campaign/Territory and State Level Stake Holders

- Focus on developing Innovations, create differentiation in the campaigns and execute the Plan

Skills and Qualifications

- 8-10+ years in sales preferable with Pharma / Medical / Healthcare back ground

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, telephone, and organizational skills

- Experience closing enterprise level deals

- Ability to analyze business opportunities and read situations well

- Ability to travel at least 30 to 50% of the time based on the need

Preferred Qualifications

- Master's Degree

- Proven success rate at levels above quotas

- Strong organizational skills
