Job Description : General Manager - Sales

At TAG, our sales team is the engine that drives our global consumer reach in providing Bovine solutions. We are seeking a qualified Assistant General Manager to help keep our revenue engine running through his Marketing, conceptual sales selling along with leadership skills. Our ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process, excelling at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals in the FMCG / Agro & Rural based Products. Candidates from the Dairy / Veterinary / Dairy connected industries will have a definite advantage. We're seeking a quick learner with strong negotiating skills along with influencing capabilities of his customers from the rural background. Must have a proven track record of success with proven sales targets adding to the top and bottom line of not less than 5 - 7 Crores PA in the territories. The role demands a leader with a sharp mind and the ability to coach, advise, motivate, or replace sales representatives to create and maintain a high-performance sales force.

Objectives & responsibilities of this Role :

- Represent Tropical Animal Genetics, with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings covering semen sales/embryo sales / educational sales/product sales and distribution channels covering retail and wholesale.

- Research consumer needs and strategize and Advise sales teams across India.

- Hire, train, motivate, and advise a team of sales representatives to achieve revenue targets month on month / quarter on quarter / year on year

- Achieve company sales objectives through effective planning, set sales goals and revenue targets geographically, analyse performance data of field staff, and projecting future revenue targets and performance.

- Continuously develop dealer network / distribution channels / Stockists- appointments / Multiple channel revenue generation.

- Provide personal leadership, train sales force on the job, set direction for the teams while ensuring the team is using effective sales tactics to meet revenue targets.

- Generate leads, and build and nurture customer relationships at all levels for retail / Institutional and large accounts.

- Create and execute a strategic sales plan Q on Q that expands the customer base and extends across the country and develop markets with concept selling.

- Meet with potential Farmers / Dairy owners / Organised Dairy Corporates / and grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs.

- Track, analyze, and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends for the corporate and the customers.

- Recruit salespeople, set objectives, train and coach, and monitor performance ensuring assigned tasks and responsibilities are fulfilled.

- Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop a plan to fulfill them.

- Oversee the sales team to ensure company quotas and standards are met by holding daily check-ins with team to set objectives for the day and monitor progress regularly.

- Manage month-end and year-end close processes

Skills and Qualifications :

- Master's degree from IRMA / MBA from Symbiosis or SP Jain or Narsee Monji or Sydenham/ PUMBA Chandigarh with rural marketing / IMT Ghaziabad / Marketing as specialisation

- 10 - 12 years in pure field sales management with an established corporate.

- Proven track record of success in terms of revenues and sales cycle from planning to closure

- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills to establish products and services through concept selling.

- Excellent communication in English and regional languages, interpersonal, and organizational skills with planning and execution capabilities.

- Superb leadership ability and with a capability to build high-performance teams.

- Ability to travel at least 40 to 60% of the time
