SupplyBasics - Category Manager (2-4 yrs)
We are looking for a Category Manager to manage a group or category of products for our company. You will be the one responsible for pricing and overall promotion of a product category to maximize consumer appeal. Relationships with vendors and product range management will also be part of your duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete category management which will include sourcing, onboarding, price negotiation and further support to operations.
- Providing the vendors and suppliers with customer focused insights regarding the product and category.
- Creating and developing a long term plan and strategy for the development of the category.
- Driving category relationships with the distributors and manufacturers.
- Becoming a leader in category ranging, pricing and promotions across customer channels.
- Leading category management projects to optimize ranges and related merchandising.
- Working alongside sales and catalog teams to translate customer insights into strategies which drive performance.
- Managing a large portfolio of different categories and developing appropriate strategies for each.
- Developing strong working relationships with marketing and merchandising teams is essential.
Skills:
- Should have good communication skills.
- Should have experience in PPT skills.
- Required for getting best prices from suppliers.
- Excellent knowledge in MS Excel, Advanced Excel.
- Being good with numbers is essential.
