It started with a maritime training institute (SNS Maritime Institute) that eventually expanded into the other nautical fields over the time. POSITION SUMMARY:

Working with the CEO, the Sales and BD Manager is responsible for creating alliances and relationships for the brand, which will in turn result into revenues for the brand. If you like the flexibility to be creative, think on your feet, work directly with our senior management on how to best get the business noticed and do so with an entrepreneurial spirit, this is the opportunity for you. This position will contribute to putting the brand in front of new customers and meet company sales and profitability goals through traditional sales channels as well as embrace and implement modern sales strategies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Attainment of the organization's- sales- goals in an effective and efficient manner through planning, training, leading and controlling organizational resources.

- Scoping and meeting new clients on a regular basis

- Receive and convert incoming inquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue.

- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all facilities and services provided within the organization and identify opportunities for up-selling and promoting when appropriate.-

- Prepare- sales- proposals, incorporating clearly defined terms and conditions.

- Establish an effective- sales- call cycle for internal and external stake holders-

- Work closely with unit heads to determine appropriate- sales- strategies in all segments towards maximizing revenues.

- Manage personnel and develop- sales- and- sales- support staff

- Review progress of- sales- roles throughout the company.

- Accurately forecast annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.

- Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all units.

- Educate- sales- team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account- sales- and growth,- sales- of emerging products and multi-product- sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of- sales- support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts / tie-ups

- Manage key accounts and oversee the accounts management in all activities pan India

- Maximize- sales- activities and lead and manage the- sales- team

- Maintain a calendar to meet all established deadlines and planned- sales- trips. Regular deadlines include (but are not limited to) the monthly forecast and related reports.

- Accompany the management team to high profile meetings and negotiations

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

- Masters degree from an accredited university in business

- 2-4 years of related work experience, preferably in the hospitality industry

- Exceptional written and oral communication skills

- Dynamic team player with great collaborative and interpersonal skills

- Strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship building and negotiation skills

- Self starter who can work independently: displays self-confidence, enthusiasm and strong customer service orientation

- Demonstrated effectiveness in working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline driven environment

- Extremely detailed oriented while juggling multiple projects and many stakeholders Ability to travel on occasion to visit properties, manage photo/video shoots, meet with contacts in each market and drive marketing agendas
