Role Summary :

A Visual Designer is one of the most important roles in our design teams, this is how our users will experience our products and we are obsessed with giving the best visual experience to our customers - by shipping beautiful products across all channels - App, Web, and others included.

Visual Design at Raise is a custodian of our identity & brand across all channels - Product, Apps, Web, Social Media, Online, Offline and everywhere. Visual Designer is responsible for designing creative marketing and product designs. Works with the Head of Design, Head of Product, Head of Marketing and our CEO & co-founders to coordinate across all deliverables. Make sure all work maintains the level of quality expected.

A Visual Designer is responsible for creating interactive programs that enhance a customer's experience with a brand and facilitate an enjoyable experience on our apps & web interactions. Similar experience in designing visual experiences from scratch, simplifying the journeys in consumer products & startups is a great advantage for this role.

Expected Responsibilities :

- Collaborate with design and product leaders to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience

- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to developers, including quality check and pixel to pixel delivery to end users.

- Create visuals, layout and scale illustrations and photos, marking them for proper screen values for usage across channels.

- Designs, lays out, and produces artwork such as graphs, maps, charts, posters, signs and report covers, but primarily focuses on enhancing customer experience.

- Organizes copy flow and maintains database/bibliographic/archival retrieval system of all references used in creation of published materials;

- May manage budget, including invoicing, tracking project expenditures and assisting in budget development by summarizing, researching and analyzing past project expenditures;

- May coordinate relationship with vendors; preparing specifications and obtaining estimates for final approval;

- May handle copyright, reprint, and permission processes;

- Performs related roles & responsibilities as required.

- Design decisions should be based on the overall design roadmap as well as your own design thinking and fundamental principles (i.e. color theory, visual weight, etc.)

- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback

- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Expected Skills :

- Bachelor's degree in digital design, graphic design, graphic communications or related field.

- Minimum 2-6 years successful professional design experience, preferably at a consumer startup product company, digital agency or in-house design team for a product-driven business.

- Strong portfolio of design work, showing solution to business problems through effective design.

- Able to present concepts and lead internal teams to the correct solution.

- Deep knowledge with Web/app/visual/illustrations art design processes

- Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or other visual design and wireframing tools

- Experienced in tools like Figma, Zeplin and other design development tools is a must.

- Possession of creative flair, conceptual/visual ability and originality, with a user system interaction mindset

- Up to date with the latest app, mobile and web trends, techniques, and technologies, and how is design evolving across.

- More than education, should have an eye for details & art to visualise.
