Sourcy - Senior Sales Manager

Based in Singapore, we are a startup with a mission to digitize global B2B sourcing and international trade. We recently closed our pre-seed round and are aiming to focus our operations in India. We are hiring a Sales Sales Manager to lead a team of junior Sales Associates.

- At Sourcy, we aspire to make global procurement as seamless as possible for small businesses across emerging markets (i.e., India). Our goal is to create a hassle-free channel for SME merchants to procure products from overseas at the lowest cost possible. It's all about taking the complexities out of international sourcing.

- Headquartered in Singapore, we are a global company serving customers from multiple continents. We are backed by renowned investors from the US, Singapore, and Hong Kong SAR.

Purpose :

- You will be taking a leadership role in a team that will drive merchant acquisition, sales, and lead conversion. The ultimate goal is to find qualified merchants, acquire them, and convert them into lasting customers.

- We are looking for someone who is excited to be a part of an early-stage startup coupled with an eagerness to learn, iterate, and grow.

What you'll be doing :

- Lead merchant acquisition - Create processes, lead the team, and execute door to door sales and pitch to merchants in targeted neighborhoods. Provide information about Sourcy's services, unique value proposition, and how it can add value to their business.

- Drive lead conversion - Create processes, lead the team, and execute how to ensure leads are converted. Possible tasks are to schedule appointments with merchants via in person, phone, or email to pitch Sourcy and follow-up with customers to ensure satisfaction and produce referrals.

- Targets and database management - Manage, organize, and update Sourcy database as a result of our lead generation efforts and ensure the team is reaching targets through optimization of processes and inefficiencies.

- Team leadership - Manage junior sales team members, develop top performers, consistently evaluate performance, provide coaching, and give feedback.

- Workstream ownership - Act as the primary interface to assigned customer accounts to represent the company with integrity and professionalism, achieve the sales targets assigned in compliance with the company strategy, and improve processes and SOPs to ensure targets are met with the least amount of resources (e.g., time, cost).

What you'll need to be successful :

- Passion - The ideal candidate for this position has a can-do attitude, willingness to work alongside the client during business hours, a tireless work ethic, and an insatiable appetite for growth.

- Located in India - Must be located in Delhi, Mumbai or Bangalore as Sourcy is focusing its operations in India.

- Relevant experience - Must have experience in business operations and/or commercial activities, such as negotiation skills in a B2B context.

- Love for people - High level of emotional intelligence around in person sales. Has experience in driving conversion in multiple instances, and has experience leading a team.

- Tech proficiency - Proficient with computers, emails, smartphones, and the web. Ability to navigate geographically in new areas and deep knowledge of Google Maps.

- Professionalism - Ability to present in a professional appearance while on the job and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Organized and efficient - Highly organized with extreme attention to detail and ability to work independently and handle shifting priorities.

- English Proficiency is a plus. The candidate must have over 3 years of experience in Sales and/or Business Development.
