Senior Manager - Business Development & Marketing - Solar Product (10-16 yrs)

Job Purpose:

- Responsible for Business Development and Marketing of Solar Modules & Products ( Solar Inverters/Kits/Pumping solutions etc) being manufactured/ offered by Solar BU. Help in increasing reach/penetration of Company Brand to new & existing markets resulting in increase of sales while making Company as the preferred make of Solar Module & Solutions with Customers. Job involves extensive travelling within the country. .

Key Responsibilities:

- Overall responsibility for Business Development and Marketing activities for Solar BU.

- Cultivate, manage and grow long term relationship with Key Central ( MNRE/ISA/SECI/NTPC Etc.)/ State Nodal Agencies ( like UPNEDA/ MEDA/ MPUVNLetc)/State Discoms ( PSPCL/BSES/NDPL etc.) ensuring that Company Make is approved for Solar Modules with suitable Technical specifications /Other Eligibility Criteria so that Company become preferred choice for the Customer.

- Representing Company at various Solar Conferences, making presentation at different Forums with Government/ Key Customers/ Dealer Meet etc as per Solar BU Plan

- Keeping close watch on Market Trends with upcoming Projects/Government Policies/Competitors strategy & sharing same on regular basis with Solar BU Team and presenting same during monthly Business Review Meeting.

- Scouting for Channel Partners in various states & cities as per company plan & shortlisting/appointing best suited ones in co ordination with Channel Sales Team.

- Support Solar Team (Channel Sales & Key Accounts) by sharing market inputs/upcoming opportunities/ Competitor strategy etc alongwith getting approval of Company Make wherever required by sales team.

- Proper Coordination with team members of Solar BU & teams from other Company Group companies while representing Company at various Forums & taking leverage of existing relationships with key departments & customers.

- Evaluate and update management regarding the challenges faced by the organization with respect to market conditions, competitor activities and change in business trends to take action to mitigate the risks.

- Ensure strong communication with the stakeholders and management to facilitate exchange of information and in order to effectively benefit from market opportunities.

- Extensive travelling needed for regular meetings with State Nodal Agencies/Participation at Solar Events/Dealer Meet/Key Customer presentations etc

- Ability to demonstrate the Core Values of Company - Integrity, Customer Centricity, Innovation, Team work and Care, in all aspects of work.

Key Requirements

- At Least 10 years of demonstrated experience in Business Development and Marketing activities with Renewable Sector ( at least 5 years in Solar Industry).

- Ability to engage, manage and cultivate relationship with Senior Government Officials/ Consultants/ Key Influencers in the industry.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

- Excellent Presentation Skills

- Keep Updated on the Solar Industry with key Opportunities/Challenges/ Upcoming Projects/ Market Trend/Competitor Activities etc

- Extensive Travelling

Experience :

- 12 - 18 years of experience in Business Development and Marketing with Industrial/Electrical & Electronics/Solar Modules/Solar Inverters with at least 5 years in Solar Industry.

Function/Technical Skills

- MS Office (able to make effective Presentations)/Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Education :

Engineering Graduate with MBA/PGDM (Marketing)
