Senior Executive/Assistant Manager - Sales - Pharma (3-6 yrs)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To generate the maximum amount of profitable sales through the achievement of sales targets and by making new and existing customers aware of the company's product range. To provide technical support to customers for all products supplied by the company so that they make the best use of those products and resolving customer complaints. To identify and develop new business opportunities which will help the company achieve its strategic and business objectives.

JOB ACTIVITIES:

- Generate sales to achieve maximum profitability against annual sales targets.

- Identify and exploit new sales opportunities with existing and potential customers.

- Monitor customer accounts within the allocated sales area to ensure that sales potential is fully exploited.

 - Establish and maintain effective communication links with other company departments to identify all sales opportunities.

- Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and prepare regular forecasts to enable effective forward planning.

- Maintain awareness of company products and of relevant sales techniques to ensure that the sales role is carried out as effectively as possible.

- To attend customer's timely requirements of service.

- Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure that they are provided with all necessary technical support.


-  Respond to customer complaints and resolve any technical problems to ensure that company products are working effectively and the customer is satisfied with the service provided.

-  Provide feedback to any relevant company departments about complaints and problems to try to ensure that these do not arise in the future.

- Organize site visits and product trials for prospective customers and report results to relevant managers in the company.

- Maintain regular contact with the sales and production functions to keep abreast of any developments in products and services.

- Maintain an awareness of developments in the fields of product marketing and research to ensure that the company continues to compete effectively.

- Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure that the company maintains and develops its competitive position.

CRITICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :

Principal Accountabilities Performance Indicators

1. Achievement of Sales Budget As per the Annual budget set.

2. Increase customer base for new and existing products New Customers to be added

3. Improve credit management All chronic Outstandings to be reduced to Zero.

Reduce out standings Reflected through reduction in AOCD by 15 Days

4. Reporting & follow-ups. Visit Plans, Call Reports & PIP Follow ups, Reports on Competition.

CUSTOMER INTERFACE:

Internal Customers: Marketing, Supply chain/ Logistics, operations & Technical team.

External Customers: Continuous interaction with Client organizations

BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:

-  Analytical and problem-solving skills;

- Excellent interpersonal skills;

- Needs Orientation;

- Negotiation skills.

QUALIFICATION:

- BSC/MSC Chemistry, BHARM/MPHARM

- Experience in Pharma, Personal Care or Food & Natural interested in Pharma

- 3-5 years of Sales Experience.
