Sangam Smesco - Area Sales Manager (2-5 yrs)

Responsibilities :

1. Managing, training and motivating existing sales team to drive revenue growth

2. Develop and manage efficient distribution networks for sales

3. Develop efficient and creative sales and marketing strategies for the assigned territory and target setting for the sales team

4. Collecting customer and market feedback and reporting the same to the organization

5. Monitoring sales team performance, analyzing sales data, periodical forecasting and reporting to zonal heads

6. Regularly review sales data and create reports for senior-level officers

7. Utilize business intelligence tools to provide sales insights to marketing and sales staff

8. Travel to organization locations within a given area to meet with and manage sales staff

9. Review sales policies and update policies and curriculum as needed

10. Identify both struggling and successful sales initiatives and explore ways to improve on sales metrics

11. Communicate actively with sales teams in a given area to help foster a team environment

12. Plan and execute sales meetings to help provide feedback and sales insights

13. Interview and train new sales employers, and overseeing other onboarding tasks as needed

Qualifications :

1. A Master's degree in business administration (MBA), marketing, or related fields may be preferred

2. Specialized licenses or certificates may be required for some area manager positions in highly technical industries

3. Proven sales experience and knowledge, including familiarity with current trends in sales methods

4. Knowledge of or experience with internet sales methods, such as search engine marketing and search engine optimization

5. Experience with customer relationship software and services, such as Sales Force.

6. Strong communication skills with an ability to communicate across different levels of an organization

7. Notable interpersonal skills with a positive demeanor and ability to provide both positive and negative feedback effectively

8. Willingness to travel regularly to attend and host meetings and assist with general management duties.
