1. Product Knowledge : You need to have a deep understanding of the automation products and systems offered by your company. 2. Customer Engagement : You'll interact with potential clients, understanding their automation needs, and providing suitable solutions. This involves conducting presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions to showcase the benefits of your products in meeting their specific requirements.

3. Solution Design : Based on the customer's needs, you'll collaborate with engineers and other technical experts to design customized automation solutions. This may involve creating system layouts, writing proposals, estimating costs, and determining project timelines.

4. Sales Support : Throughout the sales process, you'll provide technical support to the sales team. This includes answering customer queries, addressing concerns, and ensuring that the proposed automation solutions align with the customer's goals and objectives.

5. Relationship Building : You'll establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor. This involves understanding their long-term automation strategies, providing ongoing support, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services.

6. Market Research : Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in the automation field. This knowledge will help you position your products effectively and provide insights to the product development team.

7. Training and Education : Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers to enhance their understanding of your automation products. This includes educating them on the installation, operation, and maintenance of the systems.

8. Sales Reporting : Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and deal progress using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools. Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key metrics, sales targets, and future opportunities.
