A Leading Manufacturing Company (Metal Sheets) in Bangalore require Sales Engineers and the responsibilities include

Job Title: Sales Engineer

Job Responsibilities :

- Generate enquiries and follow up on existing customers

- Do the initial groundwork for discussions on sales

- Gain thorough product knowledge

- Responsible for achieving sales target set by management

- Present the product and sell

- Visiting potential customers to prospect for new business

- Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales

- Has to travel and be on the move

- Liaising with principals to check on the progress of existing orders

- Checking quantities of goods on display and in stock

- Recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales coordinator

- Reporting back to product / senior manager

- Maintaining case files and paperwork with admin support

- Work well in a team

- Work within parameters set by the Company

- Representing the organization at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations

- Maintaining detailed knowledge of the company's products or services.

- Keeping abreast of what competitors are doing

- Sales of High Value Capital Equipments and related products in designated regions

- Identification of new business opportunities

- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls and emails

- Prospecting for new customers - develop the customer base

- Acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets;

- Gathering market and customer information;

- Gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements;Making accurate, rapid cost calculations, and providing customers with quotations - with support of management

- Negotiating variations in price, delivery and specifications with managers

- Reviewing own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets

- Feeding future buying trends back to employers.
