Job explanation:

Sales development managers are responsible for interviewing, hiring and training employees, as well as organizing and scheduling them. They also help team members reach out to existing clients and set up new accounts. Sales development managers are needed in practically every industry, including retail, automotive and wholesale.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manages the staff for the Business Development & Sales Unit to effectively achieve program strategies to maintain and improve program revenues.

2. Develop specific program sales strategies and objectives designed to maximize revenue, improve program effectiveness, expand ridership and improve customer convenience and satisfaction.

3. Performs contract administration duties for all revenue generating contracts issued by the Office of Marketing. Manages partnerships with appropriate vendors to maintain an effective and profitable relationship.

5. Develops RFP scopes designed to generate increased revenue using MARTA's entire infrastructure that could also improve customer convenience and satisfaction.

6. Tracks and analyzes the use of Business Development resources and recommends changes in policy, staffing, and/or other resources that will enhance the Authority's return on investment for dollars spent.

7. Conducts market research, advertising revenue audits, MARTA sales analysis, procedure reviews and other projects as requested by the Senior Director of Marketing & Sales.

8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
