Regional Sales Head - Medical Device (4-8 yrs)

A well funded innovative Biotech start up firm which carries a vision to change the global healthcare diagnostic systems. They are looking for a dynamic sales professional across four regions pan-India, with ability to gradually scale up to a National Sales Manager role. Here is a brief about the company,

ABOUT THE CLIENT :

- Client is a bioelectronics based startup, incorporated by an IIT alumnus who has been awarded Top Innovator award. The ambitious startup, which is backed by prestigious venture capitalists, lives by the vision to bring pathology lab to the palm of the users and reduce the cost of delivery of healthcare through affordable mechanisms. Its works have received wide accolades from industry bodies, academia, corporate houses and media.

- The firm has brought into production its first product, a revolutionary Haemoglobin meter, which the consumer can use from the comfort of her home and at an affordable price point. Now it aims to expand its market from Delhi and neighbouring states to rest of India and much of developing economies globally who are stricken by anaemia.

- By democratising the diagnostic healthcare with affordability the market potential of the opportunity in front of client is expected to surpass US$ 3 trillion. Client sees immense global potential through its disruptive products and is aiming to build a leadership team which matches its vision and passion, and has potential to build a large successful global business.

- Their technical expertise lie in Biochemistry, Micro-optics, Micro-electrochemistry, High tech mass production and Embedded electronics. The firm is also on verge of multiple product breakthroughs, which will expand its portfolio potency, market potential and subsequently the valuations.

OPPORTUNITY :

Currently, the team is on an expansion spree. Under the current plans, Sales Heads and Product Managers for various regions/verticals are being brought on board. It is envisioned that by end of the year the team size shall go up from 50+ people to about 100+

I approach you for the role of the Regional Sales Head - North profile who shall,

- Have bottom line responsibility of revenue targets and sales operations in specified region;

- Ensure profitable growth in sales, revenue through planning, execution, and management of a supportive team;

- Hire, build and train a team of high performing sales professionals;

- Establish a sales team for tapping individual practitioners (Gynecologists, pediatricians, GPs, GI, Nephrologists, Urologists, and Endocrinologists), small pathology labs, nursing homes, hospitals, IVF centers, dialysis centers, blood banks, corporates, government bodies, etc;

- Set up of annual revenue targets, operational plan, and budgets;

- Achieve primary and secondary sales targets and growth objectives;

- Ensure efficient execution of demand generation programs to increase consumer base and maximise per capita consumption of products;

- Manage MIS for collaborative effective decision making;

KEY ABILITIES :

- Highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial drive to excel and accustomed to working in a highly competitive environment and exposed to both institutional and consumer business

- Potential to rise up to NSM quickly

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build right working relationships with subordinates, colleagues, management, and Board

- High Achiever

CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE :

- Have experience in launching new products or starting a new business line - Have creative lateral thinking abilities for creating new markets

- Have leadership skills to build and manage a large sales operations

CANDIDATE BACKGROUND :

- Preferably Pharmaceuticals/Medical devices/Diagnostics/Biotech industries. Additional experience in FMCG/retail is a plus.

- Experience of 4-8 years

- Minimum qualification: MBA from top 10 institutions
