Regional Sales Head - FMCG (12-15 yrs)

Bangalore/Chennai/Hyderabad Job Code: 22309

- To lead sales function for the region by directly & Indirectly controlling all Sales related activities, including setting & Implementation of Sales Budget, Objectives, and Pricing Strategies.

- The role holder owns & evaluate short & long term Sales Plans & Budgets. The incumbent also leads a team of direct reports who Anchor Sales & distribution.

Key Deliverables of the Role

- Region Strategy & Execution

- Sales Performance & Distribution Management

- Accountability of top-line, volume & market-share target achievement for the entire portfolio

- Plan & develop Annual Plan and in the process ensuring delivery of top line, distribution, network health and market share objectives

- Ensuring systems and process adherence and driving Financial hygiene, Merchandising, Productivity, strategic initiatives, supply chain efficiency and New Product Development launch

- Formulating and executing strategies to drive distribution (direct & indirect) across brands

- People management, Leading a team and undertaking key people management initiatives like resource planning, recruitment and capability development with the help of region

HR and Sales Development function :

- Talent Management & Development for the team - Ensuring an open and positive work environment instrumental in motivating team and translates into superior work performance and higher employee engagement

- Managing Supply Chain & Commercial Effectiveness

- Managing receivables and ensuring commercial hygiene indicators and processes are as per acceptable norms and taking timely remedial measures in case of deviations

- Productivity agenda for the Sales function - Leading indicators, leveraging technology, Capability development

Qualification & Experience

- MBA/ PG from Premier institute (12-15 years of experience)

- Prior experience in Branch/Regional/Zonal Head roles

- Expertise of FMCG sales processes

- Trade understanding

- Supply Chain & Commercial Perspective

- Ability to think Long-term

- Nurture mindset

- Cross-Cultural sensitivity
