Area Sales Manager

Job Description :

To manage sales and distribution of a personal hygiene brand by appointing distributors, hiring salesforce and working with them in the field.

Responsibilities :

- Develop business in the states to achieve short and long term objectives along with planning and leading new business opportunities.

- Responsible for planning and driving sales product-level revenue in designated channel/city or state.

- Appointing distributors, hiring sales staff (TSMs/Sales Officers), store promoters and merchandiser as per the plan.

- Design route/beat plans for TSMs/SOs and distributor's staff based on market potential.

- Track sales performance against targets on a daily basis and take corrective action.

- Work with TSMs/SOs across their markets in the field to improve secondaries and tertiaries.

- Track competition and suggest proactive steps to be ahead of the competition.

- Keeping the team motivated, providing guidance, monitoring performance.

- Identify other B2B sales opportunities and ensuring repeat business from the same.

- Coordinate with marketing staff for brand building, signage and liaise with various agencies for trade marketing opportunities.

- Ensuring a streamlined payment cycle, proper risk mitigation using PDCs and Security check, and ensuring no defaults.

Professional Qualifications :

- MBA or PG with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

- Worked with an FMCG/CPG/OTC organization. Lead a team of minimum 4 people.

Competencies :

- Strong understanding of General and Modern Trade along with a commercial

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, complemented by excellent attention to details, follow-up and organizational skills

- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion

- Self-motivated, Action-oriented, Planning and organizing skill, and Stakeholder management

- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies.
