Technical Sales Manager (for Hardware maintenance and end-user computing only)

Under the supervision of the Director, the position performs a variety of functions. These duties include but are not limited to traveling to customer sites, understanding technical challenges and providing solutions, prospecting and consulting with new customers and industries, partnering with marketing to enhance and market industrial fabrics. The remaining points are inserted under the duties and responsibilities section.

Key Requirements :

- Successful completion of a University degree or College diploma in a technical field or equivalent experience.

- 5+ years- experience in a technical sale capacity with related field experience.

- Strong hands-on technical ability.

- Proficient in utilizing various sales techniques.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Skills & Abilities :

- Ability to go into customers- locations and identify technical challenges and inefficiencies.

- Ability to provide solution-based selling to customers.

- Work independently as well as cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team.

- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills in order to resolve conflicts and problems.

- Excellent interpersonal skills in order to maintain an excellent rapport with customers and coworkers.

- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.

- Ability to think on your feet, assessing and planning troubleshooting strategies.

- A self-starter with a strong ability to motivate others.

- Ability to travel as required.

Special Qualifications :

- Flexibility to travel 50% of the time.

- Experience or education related to technical or industrial fabrics would be beneficial.

- Professional sales accreditation would be beneficial.

Major Responsibilities :

- Responsible for traveling to customer locations, understanding technical challenges and providing applicable solutions.

- Responsible to know and understand all product availability, use, benefits, and pricing structure.

- Provide input in contractual agreements for products and services.

- Promote Quick Solutions products and services by attending tradeshows and prospecting new customers.

- Prepare and deliver samples and/or quotations to customers, while providing technical expertise to turn the quote into a sale.

- Consult with customers and provide technical expertise and recommendations based on the required applications.

- Assist in conducting market analysis and presenting findings to Director to develop and enhance the product offerings.

- Partner with the marketing team to contribute information towards the marketing strategy by monitoring competitive products and reactions from the industry.

- Working with the Service Manager and Director to meet and exceed sales targets for new business in assigned territory(s).

- Utilizing corporate resources and initiating the sales process build and nurture new accounts as well as prospect and build new relationships.

- Participation in new and changed product development, formulation and specification of these products and plant trials.

- Maintains complete knowledge of and complies with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.

- Maintains client and company confidence by keeping information confidential and secure.

- Maintains a positive working relationship with team members and management in a team environment.

- Sets-up and organizes individual work area designated supplies, forms, and resource materials while maintaining cleanliness at all times.
