Public Relations & Corporate Communication Role (8-14 yrs)

About the Role

The marketing team is actively working towards building the brand and leaving a lasting impression on audiences and customers alike. With a long-term vision, the team is young, digital-first, and hungry to try new initiatives and make debt markets exciting for one and all.

You will own and manage key relationships with external and internal stakeholders. You will be the one to project and position the company's "face". You will be instrumental in enhancing its visibility and awareness and thereby building the company's credibility and reputation via effective corporate and brand reputation programs. You will oversee these programs end-to-end, from ideation to execution, across the Indian and international markets.

An excellent Communications Manager is, above all, an exceptional communicator. They possess creativity and knowledge of different strategies, tactics and tools to identify and engage the appropriate target audience. You have experience in B2B tech and/or fintech building and executing high-impact PR and corporate reputation campaigns. You love partnering with the management and executive teams, customers and the field to create holistic programs that make a difference.

Responsibilities :

- Devise creative public relations strategies to raise the company's profile across India and international markets.

- Develop effective PR campaigns and plans using appropriate strategies, tools and tactics.

- Craft (and revisit existing) robust company and product narratives & key messages that are media-friendly and will support company spokespeople for all external engagements.

- Contribute to comms quarter plans and PR calendars and ensure strict adherence and execution of the same.

- Organise and drive PR & Media Relations activities with agency and spokespeople.

- Be the custodian of the brand's press office and ensure the same is constantly updated with updated facts and figures, databases, profiles, brand assets, spokespeople images, profiles, etc.

- Liaise with the in-house marketing team to ensure consistency in promoting the corporate, brand and product image.

- Organise and coordinate earned media opportunities, including media interviews, email responses and speaking opportunities at events/forums.

- Draft/edit, and approve company statements, speeches, press releases, briefers, debriefers and authored articles by ensuring consistency in messaging and high quality of content.

- Assess earned and paid opportunities for strategic partnerships and manage relations for the same.

- Analyse results and impact of PR & Media Relations campaigns and efforts and creatively prepare performance and impact reports.

- Conceptualise and spearhead Internal Communications and employee engagement campaigns and activities in close collaboration with the Leadership Team, People Org and other internal stakeholders.

Requirements & Skills :

- 10+ years experience in public relations and/or corporate communications, ideally in both in-house and agency settings (fintech and B2B Tech/SaaS experience preferred).

- Hardcore agency experience with renowned agency brands and clients is a plus. International PR experience or exposure is a bonus.

- Established relationships with media contacts and demonstrated success with media relations, especially BFSI, Trade and New-Age Media.

- Skilled at planning, prioritising and executing in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail and accuracy.

- Outstanding verbal and written communication with a special knack for telling stories in a clear, intriguing and effective way, and keen attention to grammar.

- Ability to draft focussed talking points and content for simple blog posts, FAQs, video scripts and more.

- Skilled at (basic) design for composing employee communications.

Key Competencies :

- Proven experience as a B2B Tech public relations/corporate communications executive or similar role.

- Proven experience in coordinating and managing effective PR campaigns through various traditional and new-age channels.

- Solid knowledge of social media (blogs, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)

- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable as a public speaker.

- Basic design skills to design creatives for deploying internal communications via various channels such as email, Slack and other internal channels.

- Ability to build strong relationships with key people or organizations.

- A creative mind partnered with the ability to find the best practical solutions.

- BMM/BA/MA in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or similar field.
