VACANCY REQUISITION FORM

JOB SPECIFICATION :

PURPOSE OF THE JOB :

- Provide an overview of the job and its contribution" Development of new products

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Outline the main duties, tasks and responsibilities of the role" "1. Product Development

- New Product

i. Propose Product Features based on a product idea or request

ii. Coordinate with Actuarial, Sales channel for approval of product features

iii. Coordinating with other departments(IT/Finance/Ops/Underwriting/Investment) for feasibility

iv. Prepare marketing material for product filing

v. Creating Processes and systems in coordination with other teams

vi. Maintaining accuracy and consistency between marketing material and actual product/process information

vii. Getting marketing material and training kit for ready for the product

viii. Ensure smooth product launch

ix. Handling all product /process related queries

2. Innovation & Market Research :

- Product Innovation :

a. Facilitating innovation feedback

i. Brain Storming session with Top Management / Sales Forces / Trainers

b. Analyze product innovation

i. Domestic Market

ii. International Market

- Market Watch :

a. Insight into competitor strategies for entering new segments/product range

b. New Product Comparison

c. Track on Regulatory Change

- Product Knowledge :

a. For Top Management - Product Analysis Note

b. Sales Team - Strengthen the sales force through updates on competitor product information and insurance concepts

c. All employees: Product Comparisons

3. Product Communication :

- Driving product Communication for Key products

- Preparing effecting communication content to drive key products

- Liaise with marketing, sales, training to ensure the effective dissemination of the product communication

Essential Desirable :

"KNOWLEDGE

- Indicate if the job requires an understanding of a defined system, practice, method or procedure within or outside HDFC Life. (Eg. MS Office, Visual Basic, SAP, Life Asia, Wonders etc.)"


- Insurance domain knowledge,

- Updated with the Insurance products and regulations.

- Efficient in handling MS Office, (Excel, Powerpoint and Word) Knowledge of backend operations processes" NA

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE :

- Indicate the number of years of experience required for the role within or outside HDFC Life. Also please mention if the role requires any specialized experience

- 2+Yrs experience in Insurance domain with experience in Products/Sales/Marketing functions

- Should have prior experience working in cross functional projects/ assignments

- Exposure in driving sales agenda/efficiencies with an orientation towards target achievement would be a plus

- Analytical Skills, Domain Knowledge, Good coordinating skills, Project Management capabilities and Problem-Solving " 4 Years experience in Banking / Insurance domain with experience in Products/Sales/Marketing functions

EDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS :

- Indicate the level of education, professional qualification, specific occupational training/certification required for the role (Eg. Chartered Accountant, Certified Assessor, Six Sigma Certification etc) " Graduation Post graduation

GEOGRAPHY RELATED :

- Applies to roles where geographic fitment is critical.
