Area Manager


Roles and Responsibilities :

Team management :

- Outreach, recruitment and supervision of Suryamukhis

- Training Suryamukhis on sales skills

- Continuous gathering of feedback from Suryamukhis to assess performance

- Conducting weekly - On-The-Job- sessions

- Conducting monthly stock audits

Strategy and planning :

- Develop sales strategies, engage and develop Suryamukhis to improve their performance

- Prepare monthly network performance report

Product :

- Responsible for product delivery and distribution to the Suryamukhi team

- Gathering consumer feedback on product mix

- Work closely with Field Mobilizers during mobile hive events to assist product demonstrations in Suryamukhi communities

- Work with the hive managers to ensure the right product mix is available to the network in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Revenue :

- Achieve the minimum revenue threshold set for the region and Suryamukhi team

- Coordinate with regional sales manager on the cash flow requirement on a monthly basis

- Report the monthly credit outstanding for the Suryamukhis location wise

- Ensure timely collection and deposit of revenue

Role requirements and skills :

- Minimum 1 to 4 year of sales experience (FMCG/Social Sector)

- Keen interest in working with people from disadvantaged backgrounds and for women development

- Experience in working with social sector would be an added advantage

- Tie up/collaborative experience with women empowerment (SHGs, Micro-finance, etc.,) -


Projects will be added advantage

- Result oriented individual

- Target driven

- Team handling experience would be an added advantage

- Basic knowledge of English and Hindi and be fluent in Kannada. Knowledge of other languages would be an added advantage

- The role requires a 5 day work week, from Sunday until Thursday, taking every Friday and Saturday as your weekly day off.

- Work hours will vary week by week. Each workday you will be required to work 8 hours including a 1-hour lunch break.

Benefits :

- The position comes with a salary package consisted of fixed and variable component

Fixed component : 15,000.00 - 20,000per month

Variable component : 3,000.00 per month

- Additional incentives on exceeding Revenue targets

- The company shall reimburse all reasonable and necessary expenses incurred by you, in the normal course of providing work and services

- Health insurance/ ESI as applicable, after a 3-month probation period, casual leave and paid sick days, PF and Gratuity benefits
