Pollinate Energy (now merged with Empower Generation) brings life-improving products to people living in economic and energy poverty in India's city slums and Nepal's remote villages. Our long-lasting solutions, including solar lights, clean cookstoves, reusable sanitary napkins and more - are all aimed at improving the health, safety, quality of life, and immediate environment of families in poverty. We distribute these products to the hardest-to-reach families through a diverse network of - Pollinators- - women from disadvantaged backgrounds and remote communities who work as door-to-door sales agents, or who own their own retail shops and franchises. We empower our Pollinators with the skills, knowledge and confidence necessary to sell and service quality products, affordable to the poorest families with short-term payment plans. Women in our network earn significant incomes and are promoted to positions of leadership within our network, while gaining power in their household and community.

Job Description:

The Senior Trainer has overall oversight of Pollinate Energy Training requirements, reporting to the Head of People and Culture. This role will require extensive travel across Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Kanpur. May require international travel based on need.

Responsibilities :

- Training Need Analysis for Staff members and Pollinators

- Develop and Deliver training content based on TNA, inputs from the business and managers

- Plan and Schedule training programs

- Liaise with Sales managers and department heads to understand the training needs and follow-up on feedback and implementation post training

- Plan and execute - On the job- training programs for Pollinators

- Actively participate in employee engagement activities

- Induct, coach and mentor new joiners

- Maintain and update training manuals and reports

Candidate Requirements :

- Minimum 3 to 4 years working experience in designing and delivering soft-skill/ Sales programs, tools and learning solutions for a variety of job levels - entry level to middle management

- Ability to work without supervision in a start-up, fast paced, result driven environment. There will be an expectation that the candidate will create their own projects and be able to delegate and manage individual tasks

- Willingness to accompany the Pollinators to the slum communities during On the job sessions

- Excellent written and spoken skills in English, fluency in spoken Hindi and Kannada (Telugu and Bengali would be an added advantage)

- Very strong organisational and planning skills

- Excellent problem solving skills

- Ability to collaborate, communicate and attention to detail is a must in this role

- Passion for social business, renewable energy and dedication to transform the lives of the poor

Benefits:

- The position comes with a negotiable fixed salary of Rs 35,000 p.m

- The company shall reimburse all reasonable and necessary expenses incurred by you, in course of providing work and services
