Purpose Of The Job : 

In this role, English Editor is expected to have a deep knowledge of the language and would be responsible to develop and edit the content by keeping learning objectives at the centre and understanding the market requirement aligned with National Education Policy or NCF to be released soon. Her/His core responsibilities would include handling the language (English) projects right from manuscript stage to final handover in print and developing the digital content in all forms and formats. Additionally, S/he would be required to interact with sales colleagues and business development teams to know the customer's needs & challenges to carry out further enhancements in product as a continuous effort to serve the education community better. Further, sharing knowledge and training the business development teams on new/revised products enabling them to carry out effective demonstrations contributing to business development would also be a part of this role.

Principal Accountabilities/Key Result Areas : 

- In collaboration with internal stakeholders, developing a product plan for digital and blended courses to be designed from scratch or to carry out the revision of existing products aligned with NEP 2020 and NCF 2022.

- Developing content that meets the highest quality, time, and cost standards from the manuscription stage to the final print books.

- Identifying and listing learning objectives and learning outcomes for the new or revised version ensuring learning outcomes measurable at the end of each concept.

- To have an eye for detail to carry out detailed reviews of Student's Books, Workbooks, Literature Readers and Teacher's Manuals considering our approach and pedagogy.

- To be able to compile quality lesson plans as per the updated books to facilitate effective teaching in the classrooms (hybrid mode).

- To ensure timely, error free development, review, and sign of the digital content on the Learning Management System.

- Development and Review of digital content includes storyboards creation for story animations, concept animations, games, and interactivities.

- Development of variety of questions, tagging them to the relevant taxonomy for our rich and diverse question banks. It also includes reviews at all levels till final sign-off on LMS.

- To develop audio scripts, review audio files and check the functionality of the reader pane to ensure functioning of the finest interactive e-books on our Learning management System.

- Ability to prioritize and ensuring that all key milestones and schedules are met to deliver the product as per project plan.

- Establishing strong and clear communication within the organization.

- Taking a proactive role in always driving a project forward and stepping up when needed.

- To be able to work closely with content contributors, freelance copyeditors, and contractors (if any) to drive excellence.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE :

- Postgraduate with at least 5 to 7 years of experience.

- MA / MPhil in Education with experience of developing product in K-8 Ed-tech industry would be preferred.

- Teaching or teachers- training experience would be appreciable.

- Conversant with the basics of editing and designing digital product.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills

- Nimble and agile to performing under dynamic conditions.
