The B2B manufacturing industry lack digitization globally. NowPurchase envisions being the operating system for metal manufacturers, starting off with foundries. The end goal is to be able to automate procurement by creating & connecting the different systems both on the software and hardware end (ex: furnaces, spectrometers).

Role Description

- If you enjoy selling products/solutions to clients, getting joy out of networking, and developing relationships, this is the job for you. 

- Building relationships, developing sales and marketing plans, expanding sales prospects, and strategically positioning products with targeted customers are all things that need to be done as a KAM. You will be responsible for comprehending clients' raw material requirements and catering to them via the NowPurchase platform.

- This role is a full-time position based out of our head office in Kolkata, but it will require approximately 60% travel within Kolkata and the rest of Bengal.-

What are the expectations from this role?

- You should be expected to operate as a self-starter. As a successful KAM, you will be required to demonstrate a track record of pitching and closing medium to large accounts requiring multiple touch points across departments like production, purchase, quality, and management at the client end. You must be comfortable balancing the needs of the customer while also achieving sales and profitability goals.

- Make sure that market penetration and market share increase. Create new prospects with existing clients, both independently and from leads generated through prospecting. Generating and converting inquiries into opportunities and orders.

- Establish and uphold effective communication with all support functions. Increasing customer satisfaction through operations, logistics, finance, marketing, and technology

- Create, revise, preserve, and disseminate the Key Account Plan. Provide sound information and recommendations on products and services, as well as sell and negotiate win-win solutions with customers. Recognize the activity, business, and wants of your customers.

What would your day job involve?

- Client Management:- Make contact with existing clients to obtain fresh purchase orders and obtain an accurate estimate of payments and cash flows.

- Work on product or category development- of a product basket at the existing customer end.

- Work with the procurement department- to ensure a better bottom line for repeat cycle orders.

- Collaborate across departments:- Ensure smoother order execution.

Qualifications and Experience :

- Engineering graduate (MUST)with 1- 3 years of relevant industry experience in domains like manufacturing, trade, or industrial production industries or in a B2B commerce organization.

- A proven track record as a key account manager and ability to solve problems and negotiate.

- Effective relationship-building abilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels.

Hiring Process

1. Screening of applicants & initial telephonic call with Manager -HR.

2. F2F/Video Interview with Head Sales.

3. F2F/Video Interview with CEO.

4. Psychometric Assessment.

5. Email communication on final feedback.
