NMIMS - Content & Copywriter (5-10 yrs)

This incumbent is a highly skilled professional responsible for creating compelling written content to promote products, services, or brands. This position work closely with marketing and creative teams to develop effective advertising campaigns and communication strategies. Your primary goal will be to create compelling and persuasive copy that effectively communicates key messages, captures the target audience's attention, and drives desired actions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Content Creation: Develop engaging and persuasive copy for various marketing materials, including but not limited to websites, landing pages, social media posts, print ads, email campaigns, product descriptions, brochures, blogs, social communications and video scripts.

- Brand Voice and Messaging: Understand the brand's voice, tone, and target audience to ensure consistency across all marketing communications. Develop and maintain brand guidelines for copywriting.

- Conceptualization and Strategy: Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and develop concepts for advertising campaigns. Contribute to strategic discussions and provide valuable insights to enhance marketing efforts.

- Research and Analysis: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and consumer behavior research to identify key messaging opportunities and develop effective communication strategies.

- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit copy for grammar, spelling, clarity, and accuracy. Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and maintain high standards of quality.

- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with designers, art team, marketing managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of copy with visual elements. Collaborate in cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and objectives.

- SEO Optimization: Understand SEO best practices and incorporate relevant keywords and phrases into web copy to improve search engine rankings and increase organic traffic.

- Leadership and Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior copywriters, reviewing their work and providing constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.

- Stay Updated: Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in copywriting

Requirements- Skills & Competencies:

- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with an impeccable command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

- Creative mind-set with the ability to generate original ideas and think outside the box.

- Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides

- Experience with content management systems

- Keen eye for detail and appreciation of great design

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications and related industry trends

- Solid understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, SEO, email marketing, and content marketing

- Familiarity with SEO principles and keyword research for optimizing copy.

- Proficiency in using content management systems, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.

Requirements- Education & work experience:

- Bachelor's / PG degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

- Proven experience of 5 to 10 yrs as a copywriter or in a similar role, preferably in an advertising agency or marketing department.

- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse copywriting samples across various platforms and industries.
