National Sales Manager - Surfactants & Specialty Chemicals (12-15 yrs)

Roles and Responsibilities:

- To ensure achievement of sales targets for the given year for all India basis (including sales target for self plus team)

- To ensure that all sales managers create and maintain customer data base for the assigned region in ERP with all details like location, concerned persons, end uses, brands, market size, which products do they buy, from whom, what quantities, prices, what are we selling to them, quantities and prices.

- To recruit dealers/ distributors wherever required (e.g. West and North) in consultation with the Business Head.

- Monitor sales people to keep track samples submitted to customers and provide feedback to the organization on regularly basis.

- To maintain and regularly update list of Key Accounts (for India) and to ensure that the K.A.M. documents are being regularly updated by the concerned account manager.

- Ensure that the sales team collects all payments within the agreed credit terms.

- Joint visits to the key customers along with the regional managers.

- Follow up with the customers for new product requirements.

- Collate information from the team on market trends, new product launches and provide inputs to the Business Development Manager.

Requirements of the position :

- A person with minimum 12-15 years of sales experience in B2B Home, Personal care or allied industries (either domestic or exports).

- Having good contacts with key people at major customers (HUL/ P&G/Himalaya/ITC/Jyothy) (MNCs and Indian Companies) both at technical as well at Purchase level.

- He / she must be able to collect market data on domestic level in terms of market size for each end use (e.g. shampoo)

- Competition Analysis - Must have good knowledge about the major competitors ( local as well regional), market prices, market trends in end use as well as specialty chemical industries.

- He must also have good knowledge about the end products, formulations and UPL products.

- Should be able to communicate effectively with the R&D and Application people as well as with the technical people at customer side in order to resolve any technical issues.
