National Sales Manager - Pharma (8-10 yrs)
About the Role: The National Sales Head is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for the company's veterinary pharmaceutical products across the country. This role involves leading a national sales team, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
I. Strategic Planning
- Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic and competitive market environment.

- Identify growth opportunities and market trends in the veterinary pharmaceuticals sector.
II. Sales Management
- Lead and mentor a team of regional sales managers and sales representatives.
- Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and monitor performance to achieve sales targets.
III. Market Analysis
- Analyze market data and sales trends to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Assess the competitive landscape and adjust tactics as needed to maintain a competitive edge.
IV. Customer Relationships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including veterinary clinics, hospitals, and distributors.
- Address client needs and resolve any issues to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
V. Sales Forecasting
- Develop and manage sales forecasts and budgets.
- Track sales performance against targets and adjust strategies as necessary to meet goals.
VI. Training and Development
- Organize and conduct training programs for the sales team to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and customer service capabilities.
VII. Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments such as marketing, product development, and regulatory affairs to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Provide feedback from the field to inform product development and marketing strategies.
VIII. Reporting
- Prepare and present regular sales reports and performance metrics to senior management.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on sales data and market conditions.
IX. Compliance
- Ensure that all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal and ethical standards in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Veterinary Science, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in sales management, with a proven track record in the pharmaceutical or veterinary sector. Prior experience in a leadership role is essential.
