Below role is for a business vertical which focuses on B2B sales and academic delivery for Schools and Colleges Pan India. It is run as a profitable startup under a bigger setup and is led by llT/MBA professionals who are passionate to grow the vertical and make a sizable impact in the education sector.

JOB DESCRIPTION : 

- State Sales Head responsibilities include developing key growth strategies and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets.

Duties will also include hitting annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends.

- It's a purely B2B Sales profile. The schools/clients will have to be mapped by the person. The entire life cycle of an account is manager by a single sales person.

- After acquiring the client, the job requires to get the maximum share of business.

- There are multiple contact points in all the clients and the most common touch points are Principals, Teachers, and HOD.

RESPONSIBILITIES

State sales head will be responsible for scanning the market and building sales pipeline from scratch in a particular state. Person will have to understand the marker potential, competition and customize the product features to suit market needs. Person will have to design sales strategy, build team, train them and improve sales productivity.

Role also includes account management, Revenue collection, increasing sales from existing clients etc. Person will have enough freedom in the work, however person needs to be accountable for the targets taken. Person will be responsible for entire sales and revenue life cycle and most likely have to meet and convince academicians and directors for sales.

- Own and deliver annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts

- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base

- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives

- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations

- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships and Build larger sales & account management teams

- Understand category-specific landscapes and trends

- Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

- Hands on experience e with B2B sales

- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level

- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services

- Proven ability to position products against competitors

- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions

- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

- Education Domain experience preferred

- Role includes lot of travelling
