At the Narayana Group, we see public relations as newsworthy storytelling. We're looking for a seasoned public relations professional who can create narratives that guide our brand story. This person will contribute to existing PR efforts while helping to develop new initiatives aligned with company objectives. The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of PR functions, as well as positive relationships with media professionals in our industry and the community.

Reporting line: This role reports to the Vice President, Marketing

Objectives of this role

- Build the PR framework - Overall Communication framework including Strategy, key drivers from the PR perspective, preferred list of publications / editors, frequency of articles etc to supplement the positioning of the Brand

- Establish a media relations plan that has actionable tasks for supporting the overall Marketing plan, focused on high-level placements in print, broadcast, Electronic and online channels to increase organization visibility.

- Build connections with key media organizations and journalists across traditional, digital, and social channels.

- Ensure that our PR efforts serve immediate and long-term business goals.

- Forecast news cycles and identify areas of trending public interest.

- Understand the competitive landscape and stay ahead of any threat to our brand position.

- Focus on key Metrics and use data to measure SoV, impact of articles and suggest corrective action.

- Crisis Management

Responsibilities

As a public relations Manager, you'll need to:

- Plan, develop and implement PR strategies.

- Engage with marketing department to ensure that PR campaigns align with strategic goals, growth plans, and new business opportunities.

- Build strong relationships and networks with colleagues, journalists, media houses and answer enquiries from the media and other organizations.

- Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites and blogs, for opportunities

- Research, write and distribute press releases to targeted media.

- Collect and analyze media coverage for the Industry and chart-out tactical / strategic way-forward. Focus on quality of publication too and not just number of articles.

- Write and edit in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles, and annual reports.

- Devise photo opportunities and coordinate studio or location photography.

- Organize events (such as press conferences, exhibitions, open days and press tours etc).

- Write timely press releases and media kits, and direct social-media team to communicate proactively.

- Manage the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation.

What you will need :

Required skills and qualifications

- 6+ years of experience in public relations at a PR agency or a reputed organization.

- Exceptional writing and editing skills.

- Deep knowledge of traditional, digital, and social media channels.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Proficient in Microsoft Office

- Proven ability to develop, implement, and execute successful public relations campaigns.

Preferred skills and qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in public relations, marketing, or advertising

- Established relationships with media organizations and journalists.

- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)

- Data Analysis, relevant to PR
