Mensa Brands - Sales Lead - Supplement Segment (5-10 yrs)

Role Summary:

The Supplements Sales Lead will be a pivotal member of our team, responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy for our range of products in supplement stores and channels. This role demands a strong understanding of the supplements market, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in driving sales growth. The Supplements Sales Lead will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Sales Strategy and Planning :

- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for the supplement product line, aligning with overall business objectives.

- Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth.

- Set ambitious sales targets, develop forecasts, and monitor progress towards achieving goals.

2. Team Leadership :

- Lead and motivate a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

- Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.

3. Client Relationship Management :

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key distributors, stores, retailers, and distributors in the supplements industry.

- Identify and engage with potential business partners to expand the distribution network and increase sales opportunities.

4. Sales Execution :

- Drive the entire sales process from lead generation and prospecting to closing deals and post-sale support.

- Collaborate with Marketing to develop compelling sales collateral, presentations, and promotional materials.

5. Market Insights and Feedback :

- Gather customer feedback and market insights to provide input for new product development and improvements.

- Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure that our supplement products meet customer needs and preferences.

6. Performance Analysis and Reporting :

- Regularly analyze sales data, identify trends, and generate performance reports to assess effectiveness of sales strategies.

- Provide insights and recommendations to optimize sales processes and achieve better results.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

- Strong understanding of the supplements industry, market trends, and customer preferences.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Previous experience in selling supplements or health and wellness products.

- Experience with e-commerce sales and digital marketing strategies.

- Established network within the supplements industry.

- Demonstrated ability to build and nurture client relationships.
