Manager - Technical Sales - Filtration Chemicals/Solutions (3-5 yrs)

Key Tasks and Responsibilities :

- Map and understand India market for Filtration & Life Sciences business for different industries like Beer, Wine, Beverages, Pharma, Starch, Edible oil, Biodiesel, Oleo chemicals, Food, Nutraceuticals, Personal Care, Dyes & chemicals

- To provide technical service to existing & potential customers


- Trouble shooting, to conduct plant trials & prove superiority of MNC minerals, provide technical solution to the customer s request.

- To provide training in the use of minerals in Filtration & life science applications both internally and externally as necessary.

- Develop and grow direct sales volume, revenue and profitability in these applications in India

- Responsible for maintaining and exceeding annual budget volume & revenue

- Responsible to build key account plans, develop multilevel contacts and get a good understanding of the local market.

- To sell MNC mineral based Filter Aids (Diatomaceous earth & Perlite) to Beer, Wine, Beverages, Starch, Edible Oil, Pharma, Dyes & Chemicals

- To sell MNC Minerals - Diatomaceous Earth, Perlite, Talc, Kaolin, Calcium Carbonate, Bentonite & other minerals to Pharma, Food, Nutraceuticals, Personal care & other industry

- Contributes to increased profitability through price increases, improved product mix & implementation of improved service routes

- Manage MNC distributors selling into these applications and help them to grow

- Increase market knowledge, identify new technical / commercial opportunities, and support (strategic) growth initiatives

- Responsible to provide regular market information, market trend, new technology, competitor activities & implement counter action plan accordingly

- Develop good relationship with customers at multiple levels

- To co - ordinate with the relevant Technical & Market Managers to ensure all business objectives are being achieved

- Maintain active engagement with existing & potential customers through creative follow - up communications designed to increase customer interest.

- Tracking of business (Sales, Revenue, GM, Opportunities, etc) & reporting on weekly and monthly basis and presenting it to top management.

Job Specification :

Education and Experience requirements :

- B.Tech/ M Tech in Food/Chemical Technology related background in a multinational environment with proven track.

- Filtration industrial or minerals based experience are highly preferable.

- At least 3 - 5 years of experience in technical or commercial role.

Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics :

- Good connection with industry: Beer, Wine, Beverages, Starch, Edible Oil, Pharma, Dyes & Chemicals, Personal care

- Good technical knowledge of above industry & filtration application & minerals

- Travel across India or assigned territory (above 50%) - visiting existing and potential customers

- Excellent oral & written communication skills.

- To build sales volume, revenue & profitability and develop strong customer relationship

- Problem - solving & analytical skills.

- Ability to work well under pressure.

- Self - motivating
