Manager/Senior Manager - Sales/Business Development - Manufacturing Firm (15-20 yrs)

The Client :

Indian Subsidiary of a Global Mfg Company HQ in Japan, manufacturing and selling machines and consumables for marking, coding, track and trace purposes.

Role Purpose :

- Leadership role responsible to drive revenue, market share and profitability for the region in line with organisation's objective. Responsible for client acquisition, engagement and retention in line with business plan.

Role (includes but not limited to)

- Sales planning for the region in line with the business plan. Sales pipeline management and conversion to meet the revenue goals.

- Generate / Follow up on the leads on potential customers, prospecting, qualification of leads and meet key stakeholders to initiate the sales process.

- Understand current usage patterns, problem areas of potential clients and propose solutions and value proposition (including pricing proposal) based on the client requirements

- Follow up to secure order and initiate the fulfillment process with the factory and other key stakeholders

- CRM / Account Management for new and existing clients to make sure the company's products and services meet client requirements on a ongoing basis.

- Serve as the first point of contact for any customer queries related to the product, usage etc.

- Travel the journey with the client from the order processing to installation to usage to making sure value is delivered at every level.

- Lead a team of sales professionals from sales capability building to reviews to ensuring business results are delivered collectively and individually

- Drive participation in workshops / events / trade fairs etc based on what crates value for the organisation

- Work closely with key internal stakeholders to make sure customer engagement is intact and enhanced.

The Person for the role :

- Graduate / PG in Engineering with PG in Management (preferred but not mandatory) with about 10 to 15 years of experience in Sales/BD role in B2B sales.

- Hands on experience working in a direct selling environment with strong account management skills preferred.

- Passionate about understanding customer requirements and proposing the right solution set for the customer from the various options of products available with the organisation.

- Good understanding of pricing and other techno commercial aspects of making a solution proposal.

- Experience managing a team of front-line sales professionals

- Willingness to travel for about 15 days a month through out South region.
