Manager - Sales - Retail Agency Channel - Insurance (8-12 yrs)

Role & Responsibilities:

The Manager - Retail Agency Sales is expected to lead a team to drive sales results and build strong insurance expertise across both General and Life Insurance (e.g. Health, Motor, Term Life) products over time. S/he will have strong sales acumen and demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets (including enable team's target attainment)

Role and Responsibilities:

- Lead agency sales team to achieve sales targets

- Lead new client acquisition and management of existing Retail Accounts, including renewals and cross-selling

- Lead recruitment and management of agency sales team

- Lead Sales planning and target setting for the Retail Sales Team

- Monitor progress and formulate sales strategies for different products so all team-members can achieve targets; problem solve and meet customers as needed

- Train, motivate and develop team-members

- Develop an understanding of the own clients- needs

- Conduct insurance risk assessments at client to identify coverage gaps

- Work with the Underwriting team to place the insurance policies with the appropriate insurer

- Ensure all post-sales customer servicing needs are being fulfilled in collaboration with the Servicing team

- Develop new lines of business and take leadership internally for developing product offerings

- Candidates who apply, should have the following skill-set:

- Strong sales acumen and ability to handle different sales related solutions as well as drive operational excellence

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to lead and drive effective team management and results

- Interest in insurance industry is a must; Existing knowledge of insurance is a bonus

- Be goals and target oriented

- Like problem solving: Be interested in learning about customers needs and issues, and demonstrate willingness to develop innovative solutions for clients

- Strong collaboration skills required for partnering with the Underwriting Team and Insurance Companies

- Very comfortable with numbers

- Detail orientation is a must

- Knowledge of Excel is required
