This role is with an E-Learning Company

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading Company's sales and marketing efforts within assigned markets and geography, including recommending sales and marketing strategies that will improve the region's competitive position, revenue growth, and profitability.

Key Qualifications :

- A quantifiable record of success in Education /Technology sales, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed Company's sales engine.

- Experience with a solution- based approach to solving customer requirements and an understanding of complex sales cycles

- The ability to build consensus throughout multiple levels of organizations, and be adept at developing relationships at all levels.

- Excellent verbal as well as written communication skills and the ability to articulate company's products & services strategy as well as the company's value proposition.

- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in selling/marketing in colleges & universities in India, Publishing Industry, learning management, technology-based products.

Description :

- Your responsibilities will be managing sales focused on revenue, implementing solutions that work, creating key partnerships for scale, and building momentum in the education market. A successful sales manager will be proficient at creating sales opportunities and projects to increase sales, thus creating a dominant share in the market.


- In addition, the sales manager must be able to articulate and create an effective sales methodology to close existing & new accounts. Work as an active part of the sales team, as needed and appropriate, work with internal teams in an effective & positive manner. He/she will be required to provide accurate and timeline pipeline and forecast information. Provide timely and accurate administrative activities and sales activity reporting. Achieve goals in both Core and Development accounts, and achieve all goals as defined by management for revenue, units, and line- of- business.

Essential Job Functions:

- Ensure increased profitability for the company through continuously growing sales, cases, and GP$ in a designated territory.

- Strategize how to grow and increase profitability through continuously solutioning

- Maintaining relationships with current customers and penetrating further growth within those accounts.

- Continuously building new customers in the market.

- Responsible for up- to- date knowledge of marketing tools and website resources that help support the overall business.

- Participation in promotional opportunities, sales contests, marketing, and merchandising initiatives and all required sales meetings & trainings.

- Maintain and coordinate communication and teamwork with all other company departments, specifically Inside Sales, to ensure the overall success of the company's strategies related to program business.

- Continually gathers information on the local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicates information to management and others as needed.

- Work with colleges in India and create partnership models at multiple levels

- Create selling strategies within each college to engage with the end customer better (student)

Education - Graduate

- Management degree preferred

Additional Requirements :

- Should have a past track record of selling/marketing in colleges & universities in India

- Should be willing to work in a start-up setting

- Should have a business acumen to solution & sell to clients on the spot

- Should be fluent in English

- Problem-solving ability would be a bonus

Additionally, must be highly motivated and organised, work independently, and possess strong time/territory management skills, analytical/problem solving skills. He/she should also be a self-starter who is prepared to own, define, develop and execute a geographic plan and consistently deliver on revenue targets while also being a strategic thinker.
