Manager - Sales - B2B Vertical - AgriTech Platform (5-7 yrs)
- Our client is India's first supply chain network of ugly yet fresh and fit-for-consumption fruits and vegetables. It buys the produce from farmers and sells them directly to commercial kitchens thereby bridging the gap between buyers and sellers.
- Founded in 2019, this Y-Combinator backed agri-tech company already has more than 500 customers across Bangalore and has raised ~$1.5 million till date, with plans for a nationwide rollout. Some of its clients include IIM Bangalore, Subway, Freshmenu, Toscano, Chianti, among others.
- It is successfully curbing food waste, increasing farmer incomes and giving access to healthy, affordable produce to one and all.
- As a Sales Manager, you will be a key player in driving the achievement of company's ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth goal.
What you will do :
- Identifying and targeting potential clients in the agricultural sector.
- Developing and executing strategies for client acquisition and sales growth.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support.
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Preparing and delivering appropriate presentations on products/services.
- Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
- Staying up-to-date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
- Building and leading a team of sales professionals.
- Setting sales goals, track performance, and provide feedback and coaching.
- Working closely with marketing and product teams to align strategies.
- Providing customer feedback to the product development team.
What you need to have :
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role in B2B sales for at least 5+ years.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, CRM software, and sales and marketing tools.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with agricultural technology and innovations.
- Ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
- Previous experience working in a startup environment.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics in the agriculture sector.
