Manager - Sales - Auto Components & Services (8-15 yrs)

About The Company - One of the Leading UK Based MNC into manufacturing of Auto components & Services for Major OEM's

Key Objectives and Accountability:

- To assume responsibility for the new relationships that have been established with OEM customers including Tata, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra & Mahindra, Force Motors and Daimler and to develop relationships with other customers such as Volvo Eicher, Maruti Suzuki and other commercial partners.

- To coordinate all sales activities with potential OEM customers including:

 Regular customer visits :

- Understanding customer requirements in terms of technical specifications, price targets and projected volumes

- Providing price quotations and technical information to customers

- Completing formal tender (Request for Quotation) documents for sales contracts

- To provide regular commercial and technical updates to the UK team regarding progress in the Indian market.

- Extensive experience in sales, account management and/or business development, preferably in the automotive sector, including the negotiation of complex supply contracts with OEMs and other major customers. Knowledge of the Indian commercial vehicle industry would be an advantage.

- Likely to possess a relevant degree in engineering (e.g. mechanical, chemical, industrial) or science.

- High level of commercial awareness and acumen.

- The desire to understand, meet and exceed complex customer requirements and to optimize the value from long-term supply relationships.

- Strong negotiation skills. Appreciation of selling value in use, not simply price.

- Possessing great drive, ambition, flexibility and initiative to match the dynamic nature of the business.

- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, conscientious and reliable.

- Ability to operate effectively without close supervision.

- Ability to liaise and communicate effectively at all levels.

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

- Able to get things done both individually and working with teams.

- Prepared to travel extensively in India and occasionally abroad.
