Manager - Proposal Writing/Bid Management - Professional Services Firm (7-12 yrs)

Position Overview : 

Desigination - Proposal Writer(Manager)

Location - Gurgaon

Roles & Responsibilities :

- The primary role of a proposal writer is to work collaboratively with the sales teams, business lines and bid directors to provide support for all presales solution aspects of the sales cycle

- Manage completion of RFI submissions (up to 80% complete depending on complexity) - with a special focus on regional and global RFIs

- Complete first baseline draft RFP response, pulling baselines from proposal databases & baselines libraries. Would need to edit or re-write the responses to provide the best suited response. Develop the second-level draft RFP response, after incorporating inputs from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), business heads, and feedback from BD/Sales leads. Also write the executive summaries

- Develop and maintain contact with client account managers, assisting pursuit teams, participating in various aspects of the proposal development process

- Oversee and participate in the development of bid presentations, in coordination with sales leads, client account managers, bid-coordinators, and graphic design specialists

- Identify unique questions & responses in completed bids, and update the baselines with new content

- Would also be required to manage junior team members in the bid-response team, while they support during the proposal writing and bid-coordination

- Will be accountable for establishing the quality standards - with agreed upon metrics, reporting and SLA's etc. Would also be expected to ensure process improvements to ensure higher productivity and efficiency levels

- Work closely with the Bid Directors to establish effective process and best practices for the broader bid-support team

Key Skills : 

- 6-8 years of relevant experience, in a professional services firm including the experience of proposal writing

- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills

- Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel). Proficiency and confidence with various platforms and online tools such as MS Office suite, SharePoint, etc.

- Should be comfortable with an iterative and dynamic work environment

- Post Graduate

- Experience in Bid Management / Support from a reputed firm

- Experience in imparting (classroom/on-the-job) training in the respective field will be a plus
