Manager - Customer Service - Chemicals (8-15 yrs)

Roles and Responsibilities :

Profile Summary :


- Manage the Customer Service team to ensure that internal and external customers are provided with accurate and timely information pertaining to customer orders and shipment status, and that customer requirements are handled in a timely and cost-effective manner.


- Ensure that Customer Service department performance and resources reflect MNC customers business needs, and that internal control is in place to provide the highest level of customer satisfaction


- Managing the Supply Chain and Order Processing process for local warehouse Co-ordinate with India South Asia Accounts team and Overseas Credit Management team for credit risk management and credit blocks for all customers.


- Fluent order management/supply chain management on the MNC SAP platform. Performing relevant SAP functions creating Invoice/Purchase order, Goods Receipt, etc.


- Coordinating with overseas offices for shipment details, import documentation and provide relevant details to India Logistics department for clearance procedure.Follow up with local approved contracted transporters for ensuring smooth deliveries to customers on time; Monitoring receivables, extracting O/S data from SAP, payment / collection follow-up from customers.


- Coordinating with logistics function to maintain and control logistics expenses.


- Sample processing / Sample Delivery and Customs Clearance Support the process for sales forecasting & inventory management by gathering forecast data from customers/distributor and propose inventory replenishment plan.


- Manage customer complaints by ensuring proper recording and following up with relevant sales.


- To follow up with designated customer accounts for regular orders and provide them with total Business support including logistics.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- Education University (Bachelors Degree) or other post-secondary education in Business Logistics or related field. College courses relating to customer service, supply chain management &logistics are desired.

Experience :


- 10 Years Minimum 5 years of experience in customer service, logistics/transportation positions.

- Solid team management experience managing personnel in various functions. Knowledge and skills In-depth knowledge and understanding of the business processes and organization. High degree of customer focus and business oriented. Knowledge of freight rates, classification of commodities, rate structure for rail, motor carriage and water.


- Proficient in MS Office and SAP. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across different cultures.Willingness to search for and implement solutions.


- Ability to contribute and work in teams.
