Manager - Buying and Merchandising - Apparel industry (6-10 yrs)

Job Description :

Experience : 6+ years

Shift timings : General

- 6 working days.

Location : Andheri

Roles and responsibilities :

A) Buying :

1. Brandwise OTB Working for new buying based on target and sales.

2. OTB Review with the Management and Category Team.

3. Analyse model and collection wise sales to identify best-sellers.

4. Prepare line plan considering product mix and identify gap to order.

5. Sharing sales mix of merchandise to Category Head for new season buying.

6. Request for product catalogues from respective suppliers for every new buying.

7. Shortlisting of Models for final buy and ask for quotation.

8. MRP and GP working against quotation received to finallize buying.

9. Reviewing the final selections with Category and Management for placing order.

10. For repeat models analyses sales history, forecast future sales, check current stock and pending orders for new buys.

11. Finallizing the models with respective suppliers and request for performa invoices.

12. Co-ordinate with factories for product attributes, drawings, etc for product master creation in software and GS1.

13. Sharing of invoices received from factories/local chinese vendors to Solar for order processing.

14. Follow-up with Solar for sales confirmation against the invoice shared for confirmed orders.

15. Verify the quantities and pricing on the SC against the corresponding invoices.

16. Prepare PO in software and follow-up with accounts for system approval.

17. Share the PO with Solar once approved for further processing.

18. Share the PO and Barcode list with respective vendors for product tagging.

19. Follow-up with factories on stock readiness.

20. Share shipping plan with Solar for ready stocks.

21. Follow-up for the shipping documents with STL Logistics team.

22. Follow-up with Import team on payments and sharing of forwarder details to STL team.

23. Verify with factories if barcoding is done correctly prior to shipping of goods.

24. Sharing the product catalogue to Import team for customs clearance.

25. Sharing the product catalogue to Merchandiser for Product registration with partners.

26. Preparing PPT for upcoming new launches and sharing with internal team and partners.

27. Share PO's with Local Suppliers for Local buying which will invoice all the above steps.

28. Follow-up with Local Suppliers for pending deliveries against pending orders.

29. Plan store and market visit for understanding the trends in the market.

30. Assisting the Category Manager in new business planning and development.

B) Merchandising :

i) Base Stocks :

1. Maintaing Base Stock Levels for every store (Brand-wise) considering Display Capacity, Store Potential, Sales.

2. Plan merchandise for stores considering base stock and sales.

3. Ensure stocks in stores are in line with base stock. Excess stocks to be RTV'd/IBT'd on monthly basis.

4. Review Base stocks every quarter.

ii ) Replenishment & Dispatches :

1. Ensure Weekly storewise and brand wise Replenishments across partners.

2. Ensuring top seller SKU's availability for replenishment.

3. Ensuring Top Stores have the complete mix e.g. Couple Watches, Smart Watches, Set Watches, etc.

4. Follow-up with partners for pending PO's.

5. Ensure timely placement of orders once PO's received.

6. Ensure account approval of orders is completed once orders placed in system.

7. Coordinate with the Warehouse/logistic team regularly & ensure the timely dispatches.

8. Monitor and maintain inventory of POSM - Boxes / Warranty Cards and Carry Bags

iii) Ageing Stock :

1. Ensuring RTV from all partners for all goods over 180days ageing after every season sale.

2. Review the goods on floor by aging days and do RTV of ageing merchandise.

3. Preparing liquidation plan for all stocks that are slow moving models & execute the plan.

4. Review discounts of all merchandise and propose discount revisions on monthly basis.

5. Arrange for Offer Communication and discount activation with respective partners.

6Follow-up with partners on the discount activation.

iv) IBTs for stock redistribution :

1. Analyse models which are blocked in stores and not available in warehouse for replenishment.

2. Recommend redistribution of stock between inter-city stores through IBT transfers.

3. Ensure IBT approvals are received from Partner and communicated to sales team for further execution.

C) Miscellaneous Work :

1. Daily co-ordination with the Partners (SSL, LSI,JIV, Centro, Trade).

2. Daily co-ordination with Supervisors/ASM's.

3. Daily co-ordination with internal teams, warehouse, logistics, etc.

4. Daily co-ordination with Suppliers.

5. Daily E-mail checks and responses.

6. Assisting in new category development projects.

7. Assisting in corporate sales operations.

8. Involvement in Online operations and data facilitation.

9. Assisting cross category incase of any support requested.

10. Monthly CSA Incentive Working Report.

11. Quarterly CSA, Supervisor and ASM Incentive Working Report.

12. Providing guidance for improvements in MIS Reporting.

13. Scheduling store visits for self and merchandisers.

14. Arranging training incase of new joinees within department.

15. Scheduling of leave plan with the team and ensuring no overlapping.

D) Analysis :

1. Analyse the sales report for identifiying best sellers and slow movers.

2. Analyse weekly sales performance - Year on Year, Brandwise, Partner wise etc.

3. Analyse sales target vs achievement.

4. Analyse storewise monthly sales trend.

5. Analyse offer performance.

6. Analyse selling styles based on product attributes, price points, etc.

7. Analyse sales and propose offer revision for ageing stock and slow moving SKU's.

8. Analyse Ranking by Store/Brand.

9. Analyse OTB for re-orders and new buying.

10. Analyse CSP and GP for all new buys.

11. Analyse gaps of unallocated merchandise available in warehouse.

E) Key Reports (Watches & Sunglass) :

1. Daily Partnerwise/Channelwise Sales Report.

2. Daily Partnerwise/Channelwise Stock Report.

3. Base Stock Vs SOF Report - Store wise & Brand Wise.

4. Weekly, Monthly and Yearly Storewise and Brandwise - Ranking Report.

5. Weekly Sales Performance and Comparison Report.

6. Partner Ranking Report - Weekly, Monthly, Yearly.

7. Target Vs Achievement Report.

8. Ageing report from partners.

9. Model-wise Sales Vs Stock Review Report.

10. Daily Sales and Stock Report.

11. New Launches Sell-through Report.

12. OTB Report

13. Ranking Trend Report

14. Pending System Dispatch Report.

15. Adhoc Reports as requested by Management.
