Manager - Business Development - Solar Product (7-9 yrs)

Responsibilities:

1. Business Development : Develop and implement strategies to generate business for solar rooftop and ground-mounted projects. Identify and target potential clients, including B2B customers, to expand the company's customer base and revenue.

2. Client Engagement : Understand client requirements, coordinate site surveys, and generate customized proposals. Work closely with the technical team to prepare technical RFQs and participate in client negotiations.

3. Tender and Bid Process : Participate in the tender and bid process organized by government agencies. Prepare bid documents and liaise with various agencies such as MNRE, IRADA, SECI for registrations and compliance.

4. Market Research and Analytics : Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, potential leads, project pipelines, and competitor analysis. Stay updated with the latest developments and advancements in the solar energy sector.

5. Networking and Events : Build a strong network within the industry by attending trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and other events. Utilize effective networking strategies to generate inquiries and expand business opportunities.

6. Brand Awareness : Create and implement a social media communication strategy to increase brand awareness. Engage in online and offline marketing activities to promote the company's services and offerings.

7. Client Relationship Management : Address client queries related to technical BOQs and propose suitable solutions. Close sales and negotiate payment terms with clients. Ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

8. Documentation and Contracts : Prepare and manage relevant contracts and agreements with clients. Ensure all necessary documentation is in place for smooth project execution.

9. Project Coordination : Coordinate with the engineering team for timely deployment of resources and project milestones. Monitor project progress, resolve any issues, and ensure compliance with client requirements.

10. Reporting and MIS : Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track the progress of work. Prepare management reports as required, providing insights into business development activities and achievements.

Requirements :

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (MBA preferred).

2. Proven experience of 8-10 years in business development, preferably in the solar industry or related B2B sector.

3. Strong knowledge of solar rooftop and ground-mounted projects, including technical aspects and industry regulations.

4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

5. Proactive and self-motivated with a result-oriented approach.

6. Ability to analyze market trends, identify business opportunities, and develop effective strategies.

7. Familiarity with government tender and bidding processes.

8. Experience in handling contract negotiations and documentation

9. Strong organizational and time management skills.
