One of our client which specializes in medical and marketing communications to target audiences across the globe, including the fastest growing emerging markets is looking for :

Business Development Manager

Job Description :

This exciting role drives high value engagement platforms and implements excellent marketing and business development skills with sales accountability to cater to the medical affair and marketing department within Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology companies across the globe by collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders & country teams within the client organisation and partners of Organisation. The role will have heavy exposure to interface with the Pharmaceutical Company's medical and marketing team.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Core responsibilities include :

- Partner with functional leaders within the organisation to understand the expertise & competitive advantage

- Identify needs of the Indian Pharmaceutical Market specific to company's expertise and establish the company's positioning.

- Develop & drive a strategic roadmap for Company's Business expansion in the Indian and international Pharmaceutical Market

- Develop effective messaging strategies to support the needs of the business in conjunction with internal and/or external resources

- Establish key measures and metrics, action plans/programs towards the organizational goals

- Analyse customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies with an aim to retain existing customers and securing new customers.

To achieve targets for sales, grow market share, profit contribution and market penetration and own key accounts and regularly strengthen the team by connecting the customer needs with necessary skills and project execution efficiencies.

- Business expansion by coordinating & interacting with industry colleagues to help broaden Brand and reputation

- Possesses strong written and verbal communications skills

Desired Qualifications and Traits :

- An idle candidate should be a senior professional with multi-national and cultural experience driven with drive to succeed and help company succeed in its business plans.

- Experience working in a medical and marketing communications agency will be preferred

- Life sciences graduate with MBA from reputable institute/university with minimum 5 years of relevant experience preferably in sales of leading Pharmaceuticals & Bio-technology companies.

- Excellent track record as a team leader and player.

- Project Management training and experience will be an advantage

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.

- Demonstrate independent problem solving and decision-making skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to travel domestic and overseas from time to time as per requirement

- Excellent planning capabilities and having ability to actively license.

- Willingness to constantly educate oneself to remain up to date and informed on industry trends

- Strong business acumen, with ability to handle price negotiation and discussion.

- Should be good at building relationships with internal and external customers.

Salary : Negotiable.
