Business Development Manager | Global FMCG Co


- Our Client is the world's largest FMCG brand manufacturer and exporter with a legacy spanning over 120 years.They are India's first integrated company with a comprehensive product chain. Our client is a billion dollar top line company holding 45% market share in India and 50% share in export market.

- As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for business development in the assigned states with the help of respective ASM for the states. You will be responsible to strategies and execute the growth plan in terms of distribution expansion across towns leading to volume growth of existing & new products being launched, after necessary discussion and agreement with the reporting manager.

- This profile requires market visits to the assigned states for necessary audits, implementation of new initiatives and imparting necessary trainings to field teams.

What you will do :

Improving Geographical Coverage :

- Identifying distribution gaps and appointing new dealers / distributors

- Planning Salesman deployment and hiring suitable candidates, post approvals

- Outlet expansion under new channel partners

- Planning and executing desired Trade marketing plans

- Tracking pre and post business volumes

- Distribution Hygiene

- Beat Hygiene : Minimum & Maximum Outlet Count, Volume per beat

- Coverage : 95% of all outlets in a quarter

- Service Schedule adherence

- Increase in number of towns serviced

Product Penetration :

- Driving Focus & Kev Volume Indicator (KVI) product penetration for assigned states

- Sustaining growth levels post any contest period

Retail engagement initiatives :

- Analyzing market dynamics with ASMs and planning retail engagement initiatives

- Regular Retailer Meet across distributors

- Tracking Competition retail engagement activities and proposing necessary actions and implementing suggestions

- Secondary Focus, Hygiene & Resource Productivity:

- Minimum Volume per Sales man

- Adherence of Market working hygiene by secondary sales force

- Driving Minimum productivity levels, outlet coverage and Unique bill cuts

- Tracking and Controlling Price To Dealer, Price To Retailer (PTD & PTR)

Brand Visibility & Marketing Campaigns :

- Regular Placement of materials at outlets

- Doing market audits and giving feedback on brand visibility to the team

- Planning brand promotion (focus variant) in his area to capture mind share

- Working closely with brand team for timely execution of marketing campaign

- Measuring results post campaign in the form of variant/volume growth

- Periodic Compliance & Data Supports

- Adherence of Monthly reports like PJP

- Competition update

- Data Supports to Field teams

Special Projects & Driving Automations :

- Undertaking Special Transformation Projects of few selected states on parameters discussed with leadership

- Implementing new initiatives and automations at last mile

Candidate Profile :

What you need to have :

- MBA Preferred

- 7-10 years in Sales & Distribution in General Trade

- Industry : FMCG or similar industry

- Span Exposure : Should have managed sales team (front line/ Managerial) as Supervisor

- Special project experience on product launches / distributor expansion

- Fluent in soft skills like Presentations, Classroom trainings, basic computer applications like MS office

- Very well versed with written and spoken English/Hindi

- Experience : 7 to 10 years

- Annual CTC : Rupees 10,00,000 to 12,00,000
