Manager

This role is responsible for driving growth in the European market for specialty chemicals sourced from Asia. You will leverage your expertise in international trade, market research, and customer relationship management to identify new business opportunities, develop winning sales strategies, and ensure smooth delivery of products.

Responsibilities :

Market Research & Opportunity Identification :

- Conduct comprehensive market research (macro & microenvironments) to identify gaps in the European Union market for Asia-origin specialty chemicals.

- Analyze international market data and export-import trends to discover new business opportunities.

- Monitor competitor activity and analyze demand-supply balances for existing company products.

- Utilize business intelligence tools (ICIS, industry journals) to track market trends and competitor actions.

Product Management & Sales Strategy :

- Develop winning sales strategies to increase the company's market share in Europe.

- Analyze product costing, tariffs, and supply chain logistics to optimize product pricing and management.

- Understand production processes to ensure accurate forecasting of selling prices.

Customer Relationship Management :

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with EU customers, understanding their needs and devising strategies to supply new products (DDP basis).

- Provide timely updates and ensure on-time delivery of products to customers.

- Establish a thorough understanding of product value chains from producer to end-user.

Logistics & Operations :

- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to guarantee smooth product delivery to customers.

- Manage all aspects of customer order execution, ensuring complete ownership of the process.

International Trade Expertise :

- Possess comprehensive knowledge of chemical transportation, including safe use, disposal, and bulk chemical transport via intermodal and deep-sea routes.

- Understand international business practices and regulations specific to specialty chemicals.

- Identify, negotiate, and evaluate the performance of freight forwarders and agents for cost-effective and timely export shipments, ensuring proper documentation.

Additional Requirements :

- Must be comfortable working in the European time zone.
