Role Purpose:

The copy writer is responsible of Producing creative, engaging copy that is line with the brand's tone of voice, across a broad level of communication channels including digital, print, in-store and online.

Role Details : Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :

Editing :

- Take briefs from across the business to create on-brand messages across all communication channels

- Generate editorial plans with the Content Manager on a monthly basis

- Write, edit and proof content across all communication channels, ensuring accuracy and consistency

- Contribute new ideas to deliver compelling creative campaigns and content

- Review trends and competitor activity

- Initiate high-quality, original and engaging editorial content for digital brand content platform

- Reporting to the Content Manager/Lead and working closely with the in-house Content team, as well as local offices

Human Capital Responsibilities : 

- Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work

- Apply and follow MAF Retail's Human Capital corporate policies and relevant procedures and instructions

- Provide training and feedback to direct reportees when required

Financial Responsibilities :

- Ensure alignment of procedures in accordance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA)

- Assist in monitoring allocated budget to ensure compliance and highlight possible issues

- Provide inputs on cost reduction measures

Definition of Success :

- Writing at least one article a day in line with editorial plan and wider content strategy that increases engagement

- Manage consistency and quality of all copy

- Constantly measure the quality of creative output and make adjustments based on data.

- Champion the voice of the customer through your work and understand who campaigns are being created for.

- Quality output of creative copy in a timely manner

Functional/Technical Competencies : 

- English (Full professional proficiency - Required )

Qualification, Experience & Skills :

Minimum Qualifications/education : 

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or any relevant discipline

Minimum experience : 2 years in the related function

Skills :

- Highly organized with strong multitasking skills

- Good time management skills

- Good problem solving skills

- High attention to detail

- English (Full professional proficiency - Required) Arabic (Full professional proficiency - Required)
