JLT India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson group (JLT). The JLT group has two main lines of business Employee Benefits and Insurance Broking and has its presence through owned companies in over 36 countries and through a network its presence is in over 100 countries.

Corporate Communications- as a part of the JLTI CEO Office- is responsible for conceptualizing, building and implementing targeted internal communications to align with JLT Indias strategic plans and objectives. Along with the Senior Manager/India Lead, the DM Corporate Communications will form the primary creator and advisory unit for all internal communications requirements within the India geography. This team will work closely with the Global Communications teams in UK, Asia, South Africa and other JLT geographies.

Job Purpose

To conceptualize, create and deliver end-to-end all content and collaterals for JLT Indias corporate communications requirements, by combining a holistic understanding of our business goals and our organizational values.

Education:

Essential: Graduation in English Literature/ Language/ Journalism/ Mass Comm.

Desirable: Masters in English Literature/ Language/ Journalism/ Mass Comm.

Experience:

Essential: At least 5-8 years in Communications roles (Corporate Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Copywriting, PR, Social Media etc). Preferable experience in multinational/global organizations.

Knowledge

Essential:

- Strong written and oral English skills and a relevant understanding of the current web and social media landscape, in order to build focussed content, especially digital.

- An understanding of the modern web-audience readership/consumer psychology and of basic visual design appreciation.

- Strong understanding of events and related vendor management, including floor branding, management of delivery calendars and basic budgeting.

Desirable:

- HTML/CSS/CMS tools

- MS Office applications

- Adobe Creative suite/Photoshop

Principal Accountabilities

Content Delivery & Stakeholder Management : 

- Manage multiple communication projects and delivery schedules across mediums within challenging timelines, retaining the highest standards of creativity and quality, and according to agreed SLAs, without the need for supervision.

- Display strong oral and written communication skills and a relevant understanding of the current written, visual and social media landscape, in order to build focussed content, especially digital.

- Interpret the business context on every content creation request precisely, in order to produce the most meaningful target audience response/engagement through the communications. An understanding of the modern web-audience readership/consumer psychology and of basic visual design appreciation is very pertinent for this role.

- Have a strong understanding of events and related vendor management, including floor branding, management of delivery calendars and basic budgeting.

- Be a self-initiator who would effectively flag any risks to meeting timelines and constantly engage the stakeholders to avoid post-delivery rework/iterations.
