Job roles and responsibilities :

1. Monitor and execute the following from his/her team:

- Facilitate direct sales by instructing team members to inform existing customers about new arrivals in the company and encouraging them to make sales

- Inform customers about all products in the company, their uses and benefits

- Call customers using our database, explain our products and services, thereby generating interest in the minds of the customers

- Develop and pass on the leads of these interested customers to the respective sales person

- Follow up with the sales person in the next 48 hours to check if the appointment has been fixed.

- Make at least 50 successful calls every day and maintain a healthy lead conversion rate of 15% from each team member


2. Ensure the calling activity is managed by his/her team in an effective and speedy manner

3. Coach the team members, ensure training is imparted and keep a watch on their requirements so as to be able to do their job skilfully

4. Work with cross functional teams and understand their requirements. Give and gain support wherever necessary.

5. Manage absenteeism and plan contingency. Where necessary, to step in and manage the calling volume so as to meet the daily targets

6. At times, responsibility will also include supporting the Customer service team in taking orders made by customers and ensure that they are successfully delivered to them in due time

7. Follow up sales delivery to customers and inquire about their user experience of goods purchased, making use of their feedback in rating customer satisfaction

8. Ensure proper documentation in the information system in due time and check through them for accuracy

9. Interact closely with other team members in the course of work to ensure that everyone is carried along and updated on work progress in order to achieve maximum results

10. Ensure that customers are treated cordially and are held in high esteem in order to make them patronize the company continuously

11. Create good relationship with team members and motivate them to put in their best to work in order to achieve maximum results

12. Evaluate sales records periodically to make balances and ensure that sales figures tally with number of goods sold

13. Coach team members on the best ways to carry out their duties by transferring expert knowledge to them to boost their skills

Competencies and Skills Required

1. Excellent verbal communication, telephone etiquette, fluency in English and the regional language.

2. Selling and telemarketing skills, persuasive skills, listening skills.

3. Good Leadership / Supervisory Skills.

4. Service orientation.
